I was talking about the 6-2 part.

Super Bowl titles over the 19 year period Triumph related.

Patriots 6
Steelers (2006 and 2009) 2

What's the issue you're seeing? Please let me know, I'll be happy to make the edit to correct.

Agreed. But even with Wynn - - he got a red shirt year, the Pats got Trent Brown on the cheap and he dominated - - so now Wynn has had a year of maturing and being in the systrem and comes back a more polished product.

How many other teams can do that and not lose a step (actually, winning a Super Bowl)?

If Harry can't go the season at all and the Pats win the SB again, with Harry coming back next year fully healthy and with a year longer study the route tree, why would anyone cry "Yeah, but the 9-7 Steelers had James Washington putting up big numbers last year"??? The only fans who would be hurt by this would be those who play Fantasy and chose Harry. Personally, I could care less about someone's Fantasy team. I root for a real one.

Patriots Management is not Fantasy Football. Ya gotta love it!

.

I actually stopped playing fantasy this year because of that. I got tired of watching football the wrong way. I no longer care who scores, as long as he's a Patriot.

Ah okay. I thought you were talking about our Super Bowl record over that time. Carry on.

Don't get me wrong. FF is great for fans of teams that stink and have no chance of being relevant.

It's a brilliant way for the NFL to keep up interest in NY, Florida, etc..........

There's a reason why the league actively markets FF. Years ago, entire regions (most of NE to be honest) would tune out the NFL for entire seasons. FF is a great way for the league to keep their foot in the door with everyone.

As a Patriots fan, I cannot fathom how anything in some sort of numbers league rivals what is happening on the field in this era. But sure, for a diehard Raiders fan, it is a Godsend.

I don't disagree but fantasy football is a real double-edged sword, encouraging casual fan interest while shifting emphasis from the game's inherent team aspect.

I did enjoy it for a few seasons, I started watching more games that before I had zero interest in. But then I slowly stopped doing that and would just keep up with it on my phone.

It became a job. It got to where draft night was great, and then it became work. All the fun was gone.

I know there is a lot of debate concerning our draft history of striking out on WR’s.

WR’s to me is a tricky position to judge in regards to the Patriots.
The position attracts some of the biggest prima donnas in the league. Some cab be outright cancerous to a locker room. A player like this will not survive in a Patriots locker room regardless of talent.
There has to be the cerebral factor that has to be taken into account because of the complexity of our Offense. (Donald Hayes and Ocho Cinco were great WR’s elsewhere but stunk here) If Brady does not trust you being on the same page as him. Then your just an ornament out there

To me this limits a lot of possibilities and makes it risky picking that position. To BB he seems more inclined to get one in FA or trade knowing the player and how he responds to pro level play and how he responds on a social level.

Harry seems extremely grounded and for the 2 plays I seen of him, he plucks the ball well. The cerebral part of the game and Brady’s trust, we will have to wait and see. He has been pretty healthy through College so I don’t see the present injury as alarming. He will be back and I believe he will be a good one. Just a guess

FF gets a bad rap from supposed "hardcore fans".

FF in reality helps educate fans about players/team components they wouldn't be interested in before. Since FF is stat driven one needs to be aware of not only the skill players, but also the OL (which is a huge factor in how successful an offense is), the offensive scheme, and the weekly defensive matchups.

Odd number year. So of course the injury bug hits. It's bizarre.

2013: Several receivers banged up. Gronk out most of the season.

2015: OL & rb position destroyed by injuries.

2017: Edelman out for season.

Oh definitely - - it isn't football at all. It is like a stock market game. It has almost nothing to do with the team aspect of the sport - the one that determines Ws and Ls.

Not diminishing it at all. It is great for what it is. But it is not football.

It's basically the same stuff that has Colin Cowherd and that Nick Wright fellow focusing all their time on Zeke and Dak and all the other showbizzy stuff in Dallas which has been NFL-irrelevant for over a quarter century.

Gronk was out in 16

Exactly. It's called looking at the bright side.

I used to get down on the Pats for the way they keep things from the fans. I got over that after one of the SB wins. I forget which one.

LOL, it's been a long time since I said "d%#*!@t, why can't we have a coach who respects and tells the fans what is happening with the team like Pete Carroll or **** Vermeil?????"

Technically, Steelers won in 2005 and 2008 seasons.

Yes

Washington did not put up big numbers with Juju and Brown on the roster.

Didn't you follow that situation last season?

Basically, Brown was fighting with Ben for looking Jujus way when Brown is supposed to be the star of the show. Juju was taking away from Brown.

Washington now moves into Jujus slot and all reports are that it's gone real well. Sure it remains to be seen, but Pitts track record speaks for itself when it comes to finding WRs.
Complaining about past draft picks that didn't work out is not helpful. You're not adding any feedback. Why don't you make a suggestion on how to improve the situation?

I'm perfectly fine with this development. NH has plenty of time to develop, including this year. I'm looking for another SB win before the end of the TB era, and with the veteran WRs, I believe they have a better chance than with rookies like Harry/Meyers, this year.
