The only question I have is when he returns to the 53 and whether they sweeten the deal for him as a thank you. If he resigns after the Steelers game his salary is not guaranteed. I doubt that Thomas would agree to that situation so I would expect him back either later today or tomorrow. If they are now confident in his recovery and ability to be a big part of their passing attack this year they may increase his guarantee.

Sounds like he's hanging around for his chance to play with Tommy and to win some more. But even if they are rebuilding there would be no fault in choosing to go back to a place he played most of his career and won a SB.

I'm sure there are other examples but other than Flowers I can't recall a lot of rookies who got IR'ed their first year who wind up contributing much here. This would be a very bad thing he needs to be developing not riding the tub.
