I'm glad I laid off but still going mad. Once Al got to Mia & Steve S left Florida (really a few years before that) the recruiting fell off.

Yea Meyer was one of the best recruiters ever.

For this game? Definitely could have been called. This game was a mess lol. I probably would've held the flag tho personally although I haven't watches it a bunch.

Ton of fist fights leaving here. Gator fans took a few L’s. Miami fans are a different breed. Zuniga had that snap count down cold. I’m not sure whether to worry about the Gators or be impressed with Miami’s D. Maybe a little bit of both. But the Gators played sloppy and probably would have covered with ease had they not fumbled on consecutive possessions. Either way, we’re not going to know what kind of team we have until November 3rd after they go Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, Georgia in four consecutive weeks. That’s a murderers row. South Carolina, at Williams-Brice, will be no cakewalk.

The call was a good one. I was sitting on that side of the field. Brain dead. He could have let the receiver catch it and still would have brought him down with 10 yards to go before he got to the first down marker. The one in the end zone that they called off seemed to be the only ticky tack one.

I’m not sure if this showed up on TV at all, but both offensive lines were getting away with a TON of holding.

Yup. No contact. Defender was trailing and put his hands up when the Miami receiver put his hands up then dropped them when the ball didn’t come in. The other calls were fine.

1) Despite winning, I expect Florida to drop a bit when the next poll comes out - and deservedly so. I know there's no new poll until after week 1 (with yesterday being "week zero") but that just was not a top-10 team out there yesterday.

2) Helluva game in Hawaii. Lot of turnovers, but also a lot of offense. I think the Warriors are going to contend for a conference championship this year. Granted, it's just a "group of 5" conference, but the Mountain West is certainly respectable.
