Luck has retired. Colts are out as a contender. Chargers have key injuries (And their chokers.) I do think the Steelers are improved. But Tomlin holds them back.

Injuries can change things. But is this rematch nowca safe bet? Or is there another team lurking who could be dangerous? (Jags maybe with a competant QB & best defense?).

Sounds good, but I’ve seen waaaay too much happen in this league over the years to automatically assume that it’ll play out like that. With that being said; wouldn’t shock me at all.

Absolutely not. The chiefs defense sucks.

Also how did the Steelers improve??

Um..so who else is AFCCG material? Jags?

And I think the Steelers will make the postseason because of no Brown. I do think they will spread the ball around more.

What?? Haven't you heard the Browns have no weaknesses.

And yeah don't shoot the messenger.

One game at a time, and see how things unfold in the annual NFL war of attrition...

"Inevitability" is a word that is foreign to the NFL...

True, specifically their pass defense. On the other hand, there is no reason to believe that their offense won’t once again be elite, as Williams has made them forget about hunt and they have added rookie depth at RB and WR. Some team is going to have to outscore them. I’m still expecting expecting an AFC championship rematch.

If the Pats WR situation works out as well in real life as on paper they are clearly the more complete team and I’m even more confident that I was last year that we will be enjoying the Chiefs fans warm, salty tears come Jan.

I’m saying a good offense and porous defense isn’t a guaranteed afccg berth. Not sure why that would be questioned.

You still have the Chargers and Browns as possible elite teams. Houston, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville, I don’t see making it past the divisional. Same with the luckless Colts

The top 4 in the AFC appears to be Patriots, Chiefs, Chargers, and Browns.

By getting rid of Brown and Bell. We’re about to see how good these two players really are.

Fans can look ahead as these rules don’t apply to us.

Probably. The Browns and Broncos have an outside shot to make some noise.

I don't believe in the Chargers and the Texans to me are just a not ready for prime time team. They will be there but they don't have that X factor to get over the hump.

The Jags and Ravens have massive QB issues.

What's inevitable is there will be an AFCCG. Beyond that nothing is even a country mile from inevitable. The variables are so numerous that even the Patriots seemingly excellent 'on paper' team is far from inevitable. Consider history, even the Patriots dominance relies on a few plays here and there that needed to go our way (what happens if Pitt TE doesn't have the unforced fumble at the goal line). And as far as KC? IMHO KC is still in the 'need to prove it again' category. While you gotta like their overall chances they don't have a long enough track record to suggest they are even close to Patriots' likelihood(and again the Patriots are no where near "lock" due to variables) much less a shoe in dominant AFC team. IMHO...

It looks likely but it's far from certain.

At least one of those teams will be there imo, maybe one gets tripped up.

In no way am I wishing this upon them, but it feels like KC will suffer a major injury (I.E. Clark, Hill, Kelce) that will derail their chances of going as far as they’d like to go in the postseason. These things always seem to happen to “promising” teams; it’s called the NFL.

Rumor has it that the Texans may trade Clownery.

BOB would screw NE in heartbeat and deal him to KC.
