For those of us clamoring (myself included) to trade for Green during the offseason it’s a good thing we didn’t. Carted off today with a toe issue that sidelined him for parts of last season.

Zak Taylor thinks he will be back ok.

Butterfly effect makes me not regret wanting AJ Green. I mean I didn't make a single post or start a single conversation about it, but there's no doubt I would have been stoked af if he came here.

You just can't know how things would have played out if he had come here so there's no point in second-guessing yourself.

Who was clamoring to trade for Green?

Why aren’t the Bengals trying to trade him? That team is so probably the most satisfied in the NFL with having no chance to win a Super Bowl nor any promising future. Andy Dalton is just a perfect symbol of that team. Satisfying resignation to somewhere between bad and mediocre but at least not a total dumpster fire.

The owner is just a weird guy, insisting on being the de facto GM despite years and years of failure.

Who was clamoring to trade for Green?

I don't think you saw a lot of traffic on the internet about the topic because it didn't seem realistic.

He might have come here and blown out his ACL on the first play of camp. He might have come here and set league records, impossible to know which is why the 'haha he got injured I was right all along' card people play when something like this happens involving a player there was a lot of speculation about possibly coming here is rather silly to me.

Me for one. I know there were a few others. I believe Luuked was one as well but don’t quote me on that.

In my defense when I made the thread it was under the assumption he was carted off with a toe injury, the injury which kept him out half of last season.

Well, I meannnnn....c’mon man! I read when he was helped off the field, he smashed his helmet and yelled curse words and ****. Is Greens career over? Has he hit the Brady cliff? Stay tuned!!!!

Yep it was one if those cases where he has an expiring (cheapish) contract, Bengals are in transition and him getting there in terms of age where a potential big new contract from them didn't seem automatic.

The moment we drafted Harry that entire construct was done though.

I heard a different report. Sprained ankle, not “carted off”. Heard on NFLN.

NFL.COM said he got to the cart under his own power. We can assume that he was carted off from there.

I was going off ESPNs initial report of him being carted off with a toe injury.
