Sorry to hear it. Did you know it was kinda-sorta coming?

Nah. It completely blindsided everyone (I was the only one let go). I really hated the job and wanted an out though so now I get to collect unemployment instead of quitting.

Sounds like a good thing. Hopefully your skills are in high demand and you'll be unemployed for all but 10 minutes (or take the rest of the summer off if that is what you want)

There are few things better in life than finally getting out of a job that you absolutely hate.

I’m cautiously optimistic that Berrios started off well right out of the gate. I’ll temper my enthusiasm this time around, but we could really use a guy with his skill set that can produce. He’d fill the hole left when Amendola departed quite nicely if he clicks.

Dude was born a coach. His mama birthed him with a whistle and a clipboard.

Unless it was a miniature clipboard...poor Mama Mayo.

Yea I have my fingers crossed for Berrios, If you seen his college tape you know exactly why.

Good luck to you man! Hope you're able to do something you enjoy in the future.

Etling's ONLY chance at making this team is to become a ST's maven. Otherwise I don't see him here in September.

Actually there IS another option. They clearly like his attitude and mindset, so perhaps AFTER they cut him, they keep him on as a coaching assistant and he starts early as an intern to the BB academy of coaching.

He seems destined to end up on the practice squad helping on all fronts with the scout team.

Not necessarily a camp note, but I'm really interested in seeing how the absence of Gronk effects this team.

Granted, he wasn't himself last season in terms of receiving, but his presence on the field was a nightmare to calculate. You HAD to account for him, and even then - is he blocking? Or running a route? Because he created mismatches in both situations.

I'm interested in seeing an offense that doesn't have Gronk as a center piece. How does it effect play calling?

Yay football is back

And a boss who makes your life miserable...

This was the situation. The job and coworkers were fine (not great). I got a lot of freedom and the benefits were ridiculous (free health insurance with no deductibles--this is the real loss). Ultimately, I think I can probably find a better situation and I'm gonna have a bit of income while I do it thanks to unemployment.

I wonder how well we can run without Gronk or at least Watson. That would be the way to go if feasible.
