I don't know guys. This is a guy who went 10-6 over 2 years for Cleveland FREAKIN' Browns. (2013-14) He's certainly isn't a franchise QB in this league, but BB won a superbowl with the 2001 Tom Brady. He of the 18 TD's and 12 picks. Remember back when Tom was "just" a game manager averaging 203 passing ypg.
Now I don't know if Hoyer could take a team on his back and WIN games, but he is good enough to help a good team not lose games. If this defense is as good as it's potential then, yes, I think Hoyer could manage the team to the playoffs....IF we have same luck with injuries like last year, and our share of lucky bounces.
It gets a LOT harder once you're in the playoffs though. I DON'T see Brian Hoyer being good enough to win 4 straight games against THAT level of competition.
But IF we had a repeat situation of 2008, then I would expect Brian Hoyer to do enough that the Pats will be competitive in every game they play. As a fan, what more can I ask.
