First off, I by no means am suggesting the Pats chances of winning a SB without Brady wouldn't go down big time. Obviously Brady gives the team the best chance to win it all. Nor am I suggesting Brady is a system QB. He's the GOAT.

But let's say Hoyer was the starting QB for the entire 2019 season. What do you think the team's final record be? Is it possible BB wins it all with Hoyer as the starter?

Great guy, great role player in practice and a terrific teammate. He's an asset to the team on the sideline, but while I think he could win a couple of games if Brady got hurt, I don't have a high level of confidence in him in the postseason. On the other hand, I would have loved to see how Matt Cassel would have played in the playoffs had the Patriots gotten in back in 2008. Would have been fun to see. But while I love what he brings with the intangibles off the field, I don't see Hoyer making big plays in key moments at this point in his career.

I think they’d still win the division before getting curb stomped by <insert elite QBs name here>’s team.

His arm is of the noodle category ... I guess with a great running game it is possible.

I was questioning whether the Patriots could win a Super Bowl with Hoyer as the backup going into Super Bowl LIII. I always figured Hoyer wasn't giving the best looks when playing scout QB. But we finally won one. So maybe there's a chance?

What time did you start drinking this morning?

Six a.m. But seriously, this question may seem crazy to most. And it's not a dig at Brady. Obviously the team has a better chance of winning with him. It's more of a testament to the brilliance of Bill. Just look at what he did against the Bills in the SB. How he fared against the Rams. And of course SB 53.

I'm not trying to be a **** here. As I've noted countless times on this board, I can be a colossal ****, but Brian Hoyer sucks. He seems like a great guy, terrific teammate and a spectacular human being. He's a terrible QB.

I don't think you are a **** at all. Very reasonable opinion.

You’re being way too generous IMO. I don’t think they even make the playoffs.

It's not impossible, but it would be the most improbable achievement of the Pats dynasty including the entire career of Tom Brady.

Hahahaha. I needed the laugh, thanks.

I think you all seriously underestimate this team writing them off so easily with Hoyer. I'd say division title pretty easily, maybe AFCCG if we get the bye and an easy opponent. But unless the stars aligned I doubt they'd make the SB

9 wins, tops.
