NBA Draft - Trades - Free Agents

I’m not a doctor but from where Durant is grabbing it looks to be an Achilles issue than a calf. And with KDs impending free agency they could be using the calf injury to not hurt his value.

Not a warriors or kd fan but major props for trying to gut it out for something with such little probability at this point, going into a contract year. Unfortunately he may pay dearly for it.

Enjoy it Toronto fans. But the Leafs still suck.

Fair or unfair, history is going to remember this championship won due to the warriors injuries. Would’ve been fun to see the outcome had both teams been at full strength.

Raptors havent won anything yet. And nobody remembers who was hurt on the losing team of a Championship.

If GS somehow comes back to win the next two games, I’ll never forgive myself for not putting 100 bucks on them, down 3-1.

My main concern was the Durant injury, so I’m still thinking that Toronto has this in the bag.

I think KD was pressured into returning prematurely. I think he should have looked out for his own health over the championship. He should not have been cleared to play, obviously.

It will take a miracle for GS to win, but you go up 103-97, you just have to close it out.

That last play was awful. It didn't even look like they had a plan.

Kahwi on that last possession.

Larry and The Truth would never ever pass the rock with 10 secs left and a chance to take the title winning shot!

Also, not the greatest final 1:40 by Lowry.

No it won't.

So if Toronto wins your saying no one will bring up the fact they got a warriors team without their best player?

Sounds like an Achilles tear for KD. Terrible break

For how long? I mean, if by “history” you mean recent memory then sure. Beyond that, though, no. Time erodes factors like that.

Do you currently make a note to yourself that Alabama’s 2010 national championship was marred by Colt McCoy’s injury? That Kyrie Irving was injured when the Warriors beat the Cavs to kickoff this dynasty? There are tons of examples like this in sports, and in the end a championship is a championship. The Warriors still have Curry, Thompson, and Green. I agree they are quite beat up and KD is a huge loss, but ultimately history will not care. Should the Raptors win, the story is Kawhi Leonard’s greatness and a team that won its first NBA championship - not an injury to the defeated Warriors.

That said, I think tonight’s toll will take a huge toll on the Raptors. They had a six point lead and monumental momentum in their favor with three minutes left (and the ball) when their doofus coach called timeout for no apparent reason. It was almost like a need for extra attention and adulation. It made zero sense. From that point on the Raptors clammed up and the Warriors shanked them. With or without Durant, the Warriors are a team you can’t let off the hook. Huge loss for TOR.

Nope. Not after a year. Nobody talks about Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving being out with injuries for the Cavs in 2015.

Nah. You think that will phase Leonard?

Nurse’s time-out was the kind of momentum-killing TO you usually see the OTHER coach take.

Kyrie Irving's future has potentially changed dramatically.
