Rodney Harrison makes Patriots HOF

Somehow he is still my favorite Patriot of all time. He could have (of) been the MVP of the 2004 regular season and should have been the SB MVP that year.

That clip at the end of the 2003 AFCCG when he thanked Bill for bringing him here and then Bill pays it back... holy **** that always gives me the feels.

I’ve met some Pats and I’ve been pretty cool but I think meeting Rodney would leave me star struck.

Congrats to the Beasts of Beasts.
I'm with you. Even though he was only here a few years hes one of my all time favorite players

Like many here, I voted for Seymour, but not unhappy Rodney got the nod.

I love DMAC.

Rodney was different.

He came to the Pats when it seemed like they were a fluke team that won the SB. And that’s what the 2001 team could have been. Think of the Dallas Mavericks and how they will be remembered... or not.

Rodney changed things. He set the tone. He was brutal and encouraged others around him to be the same way. He anchored a terrible 2004 secondary to a SB victory. He was part of maybe the best secondary of all to time with (my good friend) Ty Law in 2003.

The most underrated player in NFL history in my opinion.

We do not talk about him enough IMO.

Some decent safeties over the years: McCourty, Fred Marion, Lawyer Milloy, Fox, Sanford, Roland James. Some of these guys were Pro Bowlers.

Congrats and glad for Rodney. Sey will get his turn.

I don’t remember the numbers, but the Pats win/loss record with and without him when he played was crazy. He was an absolute force. That one year he came back only to get hurt the last game still kills me, whatever year that was.

This was my exact reasoning for voting for him on this site’s poll. Seymour was more decorated and probably the more dominant player, but Harrison was the win/loss difference.

Wow that’s shocking, should be Seymour first. But well deserved! Next stop: Canton. Amazing player and to me, should have been the SB 39 MVP (no disrespect to Deion).

Favorite Patriot of all time...next to Tommy

A bit of a joke that Rodney gets in over Seymour. But glad for Rodney.

Too bad about that........... you know........ argh.......... it's still painful......

Rodney played 61 minutes and past the whistle. I recall Harrison's first NE training camp where he started a big fight because he hit too hard.

Yup. He hit Troy Brown of all people!

Congrats Rodney, great player, great leader, great contributor to 2 Super Bowl titles, great Patriot.

Love it! He played with such a fire. Look how he keeps driving through the QB even after he’s made contact. Just awesome.

I absolutely love Harrison. I don't know if all the stats are developed yet but fully expect the future moneyball NFL guys to show us how Harrison in 2003 and 2004 was playing at a Defensive Player of the Year winner level. Remember how Ty Law and all those guys got hurt but the D was still elite - Rodney was a single person wrecking ball who impacted the entire outcome of winning.
