Just did a mock draft where I got JJ in the third Isabella in the third and Boykin fell to the 7th we'd be set at receiver for the next 4 years at least

This isnt a surprise. Solid player but earning a lot for not being a starter. We are making cap space. Anyone think something big is coming??

What could it be?
AJ Green is the only receiver for trade weve been linked to.
What other receivers could be out there for trade?

Wasn't a fit . couldn't make it fit.

As i posted yesterday in another thread . i can still vividly remember BB losing it at mid season training - trying to personally show Clayborn the basics of how he wants him to play the position. He benched him for 2 weeks soon after..

We still have Davis and Rivers who could rarely get on the field last year. Maybe somewhat due to performance but IMO more so a numbers crunch.

In 10 years when we are all talking about the greatest SB defensive performance ever in super bowl LIII, we'll recognize like three names from the 2018 D roster.

Expected, but I'm still sad to see him go, even if I recognize it's better for the team. I've always had a soft spot for Clayborn and the way he's overcome Erb's palsy and had a successful (although not spectacular) pro career despite his physical limitations. He's always been one of my favorite players to watch, dating back to Iowa. He gave it his all in every game and had more than a few pressures that led to good plays for us.

Godspeed, Adrian!

Ok I will admit after passing on Flowers I didn't see this coming.

Guessing he was asked to take a pay cut.

Maybe. Or maybe he realized that the longer he'd stay on the roster the more difficult it would be to find another spot while minimizing his leverage when BB inevitably came knocking around camp time to take a pay cut.

I think if the Pats had asked him about that it would have happened the same way it did with Allen. About a week before FA.

Either way, he is gone.. one of the less successful FA deals in recent memory.

Not suprised, does create a need though. I expect a higher pick to compete with rivers to join the rotation

With plenty of draft capital this year and cap space we have options. Mike Evans :)

I'm going to look at some rosters and come up with some possibilities we could be looking at

The only person that linked AJ Green to the trade block was our friend Incarcerated Bob. Trust me, I'd love trading for him especially because that was one of my "moonshot" moves I wrote about a few weeks back. But so far there is exactly zero smoke about the Bengals even thinking of moving on from him.

Here comes Conley here comes Conley
Jk maybe Jordy Nelson or a trade
I want Conley I already got Gordon I can't be selfish to have two wide receiver binkies.

Adrian Clayborn is a DL.
