It may. Why wouldn’t you sign the best special teamer you can find while other teams are ignoring the position? You want to wait until he gets other offers? But does it have to include this guy?
It ain’t that deep AndyEveryone makes these kind of signings. We make them while everyone else is throwing money around like drunken sailors and ignoring the bottom of the roster role players that are vital to a championship team, do we get the pick of the litter.
A roster includes all 53 players.
Hmm. Great info. Good morning reading here.ST little monster (4.37) that has significantly more D experience than Pats core ST guys (D&O). Think Bademosi but cheaper (id guess).
Early ACL, MCL injuries at BAL (3rd round pick) set him back after strong rookie season. Made record time recovery which could indicate character, work ethic.
Terrence Brooks was drafted in the third round of the 2014 draft after a stellar collegiate career at Florida State. Brooks was regarded as one of the best free safeties in the draft class - with blazing speed, blitzing ability and the elusive 'rangy' centerfielder coverage ability.
Brooks came on strong during his rookie season. He played 245 defensive snaps, including time as a slot corner.
Entering his prime he could become actual solid back up from the core ST group that is usually missing. Enters the FS backup competition behind D-Mac w Obi. That makes quite a nice FS back up competition after few empty years. Pats might still go S at Draft for their future starter though..
Signing him on a 2 year deal indicates Pats see him making 53/46 roster.
But yeah, funny signing, funny, funny, funny..
Patriots sign free agent special teamer Terrence Brooks to a two-year contract

Mosslost might be vying for that titleOf all the lost causes on the forum, I think you're responding to the most lostest.

You act like something was sacrificed to sign him.
I'm not sure if it was that coach's bfast or another one but there was one in which the minute BB sat down he had like 30 handheld recorders, phones and mikes stuffed in front of him. Visibly annoyed and exasperated, before he spoke he started pushing them all to the side and then spoke for less than 2 minutes.I swear that look is like “I’m going to destroy you”
This is the type of stuff that drives me crazy.
We get a bunch of special teams guys and kickers who get tossed off the team. Then the draft happens, we trade down a hundred times and never get anyone. I think belichick is literally building players out of spare parts like Frankenstein
Where do any of these guys come from lol. I get it really, B.B. thinkS he can’t draft because goodell takes them all. So, we beat elite teams with garbage

Because there is nothing to reasonably disagree with and you know that.Andy, on a normal day I would disagree and do so resoundingly. However, I’ve been around here a while.
