What would a lesser offense be? This is only a misdemeanor as is. First time offense would probably be a fine and community service. I think he has the lawyers to keep that tape hidden.

You will have to explain how a different person being wrongly identified applies to a person who was properly identified.

Robert Kraft will not appear at March 28 arraignment

A court filing from the 15th Judicial Circuit Court on Thursday indicated that Patriots owner Robert Kraft would be required to appear in court for a March 28 arraignment in Palm Beach County, Florida on solicitation charges, but Kraft’s attendance is actually not a requirement.

Kraft’s attorney Jack Goldberger will appear on Kraft’s behalf and explained that his client is not required to appear to face the misdemeanor charges. The hearing will take place the day after league meetings wrap up in Phoenix.

“This is a routine procedural hearing that the Court sets based on its schedule,’’ Goldberger said in an email to the Boston Globe. “The notice of appearance by the defendant is boilerplate, but in fact the lawyer appears for the defendant in a misdemeanor case.”

Really professor? That's strange because I've read that these are pretty complicated legal issues (related to the warrant language vs FL law and 4th amendment rights).

You do realize that legalese doesn't follow common sense, which in and of itself is a fallacy anyway, imo.

Oh, you’ve read. Wow.
Please show me anywhere that states that pulling over a car with a suspect in it is illegal or that you can only pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop or that an ID is only legal if you tell them why you stopped them. You can’t but if you cold then show me how any if those things even apply to this case.
Finally after not completing either of those explain to me how they have any bearing on all of the other evidence, including the prostitute herself identifying him and it all being on camera.

There is no reason for the I’d to get thrown out.
Additionally he is ID’d on tape and will no doubt be IDd by the hooker.
Pretty good chance the driver was IDd as well, so wgat is he going to do, lie under oath?

Not true. They have him on video. They can use that to ID him in court.

Just out of curiosity, what law school did you attend, counselor? You read one article in the NY Post and now all of a sudden you know everything there is to know here.

a.) Yup, Kraft disappointed me when he didn't sue the NFL Al Davis style during Deflategate....but that is water under the bridge for me now.

b.) Not a lawyer here, but a cop needs a reason to pull you over for starters. However, the 'probable cause' is very flexible though....and a cop does not even need a search warrant to search your car as long as there is 'reasonable suspicion'. It was a big legal case years ago...and the judges ruled to allow searches because a car can move from its original location while a cop was obtaining a warrant...

As for pulling over Kraft and asking for his ID. IMO, Kraft should have refused....but he obviously voluntarily handed over his ID. I wouldn't have if I were a passenger in any vehicle myself. At minimum, the cops had a right to stop the limo and ask the limo driver for ID, IMO.

Again, not a lawyer....

Let's just say that everything that's been reported is true and that Kraft is clearly guilty here, which prior to May 2015 I would have assumed to be the case.

If I were him I'd be lawyering up and bargaining to wipe that video tape off the face of the earth. Opinions have already been formed about the Orchids Spa incident and it will gradually fade from memory even if he's found guilty; if that video gets released the words associated with his legacy will always be "prostitution video" and him laying in some seedy rub and tug joint with his pants around his ankles might as well be his wikipedia photo.
