Same with DMC
Or, the team may actually keep him at his high cap hit, because they’ve won the Super Bowl 3 times with him making huge impact plays in all 3? And with his 2018 postseason performance and abilities on par with his earlier years? That they think he’s worth it? That could be an option too.....
Hightower is the most important player on defense, but with 3 super bowls, he has nothing left to prove here.
Good thing he’s not taking home 12m this year then. His new earnings for 2019 (the amount of his cap cost that can be changed) is about $8.5m. Do you think he’s worth that? I do.I say D-Mac is the main one who should be kept.
Definitely surprising if Hightower won’t take any cut. I don’t think anyone else is willing to pay him 12 million a year at this point.
He played a great SB but lets not forget how mediocre he was all season long. With Bentley coming back he is expendable.
28 years old, base salary of 7M next year and 8M the year after. Even if he won't take a cut maybe a restructure and extend him out 2-3 more years.
HT cap hit in 2019 is 11 mil.Good thing he’s not taking home 12m this year then. His new earnings for 2019 (the amount of his cap cost that can be changed) is about $8.5m. Do you think he’s worth that? I do.
We’re officially on LB watch draft wkend. Gotta draft for 2020 and I don’t see Hightower on the team by that point.
That's seriously cap friendly going froward BB leave the man alone.
