Who are the 14 people who voted for the Pats. They have to win the superbowl and continue this pace to be mentioned on this list.

Bears 85 was for me. Dolphins of 72 are close though.

i said the 85 Bears...2007 Pats should not be up there until we see what the do the rest of the season. those could be the only 4 games we win this season...you never, ever, know

79 Steelers were the best team I ever saw. They were dominating on both sides of the ball. The 85 Bears didn't have the greatest offense in the world, so I won't pick them. I was in the Far East and missed the great 49ers season of 1989.

Pats can't be considered in this company until they win the whole thing--which they will!

Could you guys at least look up the 1991 Redskins before you click on the Bears.

They were #1 in scoring offense. (485 points)
#1 in scoring defense. (224 points)
Top 5 in total offense(4th) and total defense(3rd).
Won 11 sraight games to start the season and then lost to the Triplets Cowboys by 3 points. In the last game of the year they lost to the Eagles by 2 points. Thats it. Just 5 points from undefeated.
They also played 11 teams with 10+ wins. Won 9 of them.
Margin of victory was 17 PPG including the playoffs!

This team flat out dominated.

Think last years Ravens defense and Chargers offense as one team. But tougher competition because there were fewer teams in the league.

They didn't play the Pats and beat them down the way the Bears did. Thus, they are not the team the Bears were.

84 49ers for me. 15-1 #2 in O #1 in scoring D. Beat the 84 Bears in the playoffs 20-0. Montana, Craig...Had Wendell Tyler as a 1200 yd back.Dwight Clark and Freddie Solomon were functional WRs.

It's waaaaay to early to even vote on this, after the Dallas and Indy game would be a good time to vote on this

The Cowboys team that beat the bills 52-17 should be on there, or any other of the cowboys teams of that era.

The league's all time leading rusher

The best OL of all time

HOF QB, HOF WR, excellent TE, FB

The best CB of all time

Charles Haley, Russel Maryland, Leon Lett

Holy crap, 17 people have voted for the '07 Pats? That's so lame.

The 2003 and 2004 Patriots belong in the group of best teams ever. The 2007 Patriots are at least 12 games away. For me, the 1985 Bears were the best team for a single season ever, by far.

I agree with the 2003 and 2004 Patriots.

Put either of those teams on the field versus the '85 Bears and the Patriots win. The game is played at a different level now than it was back then due to improvements in physical training/conditioning, coaching (see Joe Gibbs), and sport medicine.

I am partial to the mid 90's Cowboys. The Offense was stacked with Hall of Famers, and the Defense, whilr not the '85 Bears, could wreak havoc as well.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

You can't compare teams from different eras for some of the reasons you mentioned. You compare what each team did against the competition they faced and the 85 Bears were much better against their competition than the 2003 and 2004 Pats were.
