1. Patriots 37 Playoff Wins, Squeelers 36. 6 SBs each. Pats 37-20, Squeelers 36-25. Regular Season Pats .561 (4th), Squeelers .529 (12th).

2. Tom Brady 30-10 a .750 winning percentage against the tomato can that is the NFL playoffs. Suck on that Curly Haired Boyfriend.

3. Very sorry to hear about Gostkowski's grandfather passing away. Thoughts and prayers to the family. That said he scares the crap out of me in big games. Denver 2015 AFCCG needing the 2 point conversion because of his missed XP and every SB he misses something.

4. Chris Hogan no catches on six targets. He's been a great Patriot but he's played his last snap. The pick was on Brady getting fooled and give Phillips his due that was a nice design but unless the defense blows it he's never open. At some point I think you throw Patterson out there and just tell him to run a fly route every time to take the top off the defense.

5. Let's give the coaches a lot of credit. I thought the OL and DL were so atrocious through the Tennessee game and then they figured it out. The OL a lot of it was health but the DL I think it was a combination of coaching guys up but also guys buying in and doing their job. Shelton was an active scratch and played a big role last night.

6. There was a thread here earlier this week about JE11 getting into the HOF. I said no way with the log jam at receiver and with the way other Patriots like Harrison who was as good as Dawkins and Lynch isn't getting a sniff. Then a friend asked me before the game and I said you know if he pulls a SB MVP off who knows. I was then shocked when Boomer and Burleson were saying he's a flat out HOFer with his playoff record. We'll see when the time comes. I still don't see him getting in. The voters love volume stats.

7. Era 2 is now better than era 1. More wins in the decade, better playoff record, more AFFCG appearances and wins, more SB appearances and equal number of wins. Yes 3 of 4 is better than 3 of 5 but they also went to 3 in a row. Era one did have the undefeated season but having not finished it off....

8. Holding a team averaging 32 to 3 points has to be among the greatest SB performances ever. It won't get the glory of the Bears and Ravens teams because it wasn't flashy enough and because those teams over the course of the season were flat out better but for one night given the opponent that's as good as it gets. The Bears playing the Patriots and the Ravens the Giants those offenses were mediocre. This was 1 and 1a with the Chiefs all year.

9. I really don't get JM's play calling. He just tried to outsmart himself, again. Just go heavy set and either run or play action. All this open backfield was allowing the Rams to drop back. The receiving core as a whole isn't good enough for that. They dominated yards, plays and TOP and should have won by a lot more. I thought we would see way more wham blocks on Donald to physically wear him out.

10. I think that's it for Gronk. The one time he went Gronk mode he came up hobling.

Gronk: 16 games, 81 catches, 1163 yards, 12 TDs
Gonzalez: 7 games, 30 catches, 286 yards, 4 TDs

Even if you pull Gonzalez's games to match all of Gronks numbers are way better per game and he more than doubles him up in yards per game. All of Gonzalez catches were those little 5 yard hitches. Gronk catching that seam route is a microcosm of his career. Best big play TE ever. The Goat. I hope he goes out like that.

11. I wish Flores was going somewhere else but Miami so I could root for him. That was a masterful game calling. So aggressive but in all the right spots.

12. Van Noy is a trip. On NFLN after the game he said "Goff threw up a buttercup pick" in this mellow beatnik tone. I died laughing.

13. If JE11 wasn't the MVP Gilmore was. Worth the 14M/year. That punch out vs Anderson saved a first down and he shut down Cooks. Cooks had a bunch of garbage time catches and yards that will make his numbers look better but during crunch time, thank you very much Jason McCourty, he didn't have much.

14. Patriots have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. This should be an interesting offseason.

15. Vegas must have taken a beating with the Pats covering but I bet they did really well on the O/U to recoup some of that. I didn't think this would be high scoring like a lot of people did but I at least thought it would play out in the 20's.

16. Suh is a piece. He should have gotten a roughing on Patterson but then at the end as a lineman extended his hand he ran off the field not shaking one players hand. Can you imagine if Bill or Tom did that? Kudos to Donald, McVey, Goff and others who were very complimentary and put the loss on themselves not playing\coaching well enough.

The only thing missing is a 7th title to have the most of every team and 4 out of 6 (which we can get next year) to match the 70s Steelers.

Denver 2015 AFCCG needing the 2 point conversion because of his missed XP and every SB he misses something.

Each of those games had at least one Brady INT or failed 4th downs as well that cost us points. But for some reason people keep focusing on the kicker.

Bottomline is he was clutch yesterday and closed out the game in a big spot the same way Adam did before him.
