Mannings breakdown of the AFCC

The only really interesting thing here was the sequence where Andrews missed Brady‘s audible. Don‘t think anyone else pointed this out.

Everything else was pretty much what you used to get from the rewatch thread.

All that being said if anything this should make people appreciate McDaniels even more. One of his best games on the big stage as OC.

Perhaps for some, but personally I got more out of it than that. And Manning's testament to fullbacks was worth the watch, as well. Made me smile.

The breakdown on play 19 was very interesting to see, amidst all the noise. I remember that one from the game actually.

Nice breakdown regardless who the commentator was....

I guess you never read anything in those threads then because most of the stuff there is usually in higher quality the than this.

That being said happy that people start to pay attention below the shallow surface.

Oh no, I do read those threads. Don't always have the time or attention span to dive as deep as they go, but am very appreciative of them and the football wise men who fill them up.
I don't see that thread as inconsistent or redundant with the Manning stuff. And I'm certainly not going to remember all of anything from any thread.

I like Peyton and it is more enjoyable to get the analysis from such a long time rival. It's very interesting to hear Peyton talk about the Pats and Brady.

Rewatch threads are plenty insightful, more insightful. It's just a lot more interesting hearing it from Manning than strangers on a message board.

That was good! I didn't hear any digs on Brady per someone else's post.

PM was probably offered a thousand different stupid things to do on TV after his retirement. Nice that he chose this where he could actually be interesting and add some value.

I just can't see or hear Manning without thinking of the girl he tea-bagged and then joked about with Archie in a book, or his use of PED's that he blamed on his wife. He's as low character as they get. Not Ray Lewis low but in the same vicinity.

Aside from it being 5-head, his dumb voice, and occasional slight dig at Brady.. it’s actually pretty good analysis

i was actually looking for digs, and didn't hear even one, i think he came off very apologetic and understanding of brady's decisions, even the ones that turned out to be bad (pick)

Must've killed Goober to do that piece.

There is a significant difference in hearing one of the greatest QBs and certainly one of the most cerebral players in history break down plays vs homer fans who think they know what they're talking about.

In a sports media, click bait driven, world of loud mouths and know nothings, this was refreshingly good. A reasonable and informative breakdown from someone in the know(he actually is in an extremely small group of someone pointedly in the know).

I don't have a problem with PM pointing out when BB, JM, Brady or anyone else on the Patriots did wrong. Agree or disagree, when it's based on a reasonably concluded POV it's worth listening to. Unfortunately the thoughtless, made up wind from loudmouths meant to get views/clicks is too frequent.

True yet "homer fans" and what you sometimes get from, ahem, experts in sports media aren't that different

I enjoyed PM's breakdown and uniquely qualified perspective. Hoping there's another before Sunday.
