10 year Old Says TB12 Cheats, Wins Science Fair.

It would be beneath me to call a ten year old stupid.

10 yr old “hates” Tom Brady- seriously? Does he even know what hate means? Also- he would have been about 5 when the false deflating narrative hit the fan. Dad and/or Mom came up with the mess on his science board, not him. Gross.

Yea, this was mommy and daddy's "science" project where they chose to use their kid's science fair as their platform to slander Brady

The cult of stupid is growing rapidly

Best thing we can hope for is he gets smarter with age.

You need good role models that can provide guidance and education in order to become smarter with age.. his parents are just trying to raise another member of their cult, not a critical thinking, independent young person and apparently the school is perpetuating it lol

If my kid went to that school after putting time and effort into an ACTUAL science project, and then some goony squad parents with their dumb little doppleganger won with a gimmick smear campaign... holy cow

So his proof that Tom deflated balls is that deflated balls are easier to throw farther? There’s a pretty large assumption there.

Its also not factually correct lol, Sports Science already did an episode on how pressure effects the ball.. both low and high PSI

Lower PSI allowed a tighter grip equal to the width of a piece of paper, or in other words virtually insignificant

Higher PSI allowed tighter spirals which creates higher velocity, which means the ball goes further faster

The above is irrelevant anyways, that is just what perceived advantages there are based on PSI in a football.. it's irrelevant because Brady never had his balls deflated, which kids younger than this future gas pumper proved with actual science experiments using the scientific process

Putting football aside, just the general premise that this type of crap is allowed and supported by a school system points to a much deeper rooted issue with institutions that are mass producing stupid, hateful people

This is true, a more inflated ball is more aerodynamic. In his experiment, I'm sure the less inflated balls did go further, but they were thrown by his mother and sister. One of the biggest challenges in throwing a football is gripping it because of its size. At 6'4", Brady doesn't have that problem. Russell Wilson is a relatively small guy, but is known for having huge hands which contributes to his ability to throw it well. The kid's mother and sister are going to have much smaller hands and I highly doubt they were throwing spirals. Anyway, it's silly to dig deep into it. His conclusion is wrong though. More importantly, it's irrelevant. It's absurd how much attention this is getting. I don't mean on this site, but in the sports media. It would be nice if society's "science educators" like Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson would use this as a teachable moment, but since neither could get the IGL correct, this is likely over their heads.

The kid's 10, there's no reason to be upset with him. I will say that his penmanship for that age/grade leaves something to be desired.

His parent's judgement, though, is pretty poor. I'm sure they encouraged their son to "hate" Brady, but then they also want him to root for Jameis Winston. Winston served a suspension for groping an Uber driver this season, was accused of rape in college and shoplifted from grocery store. This is the guy Ace Davis' parents want their son to look up to, while hating Tom Brady. If their son loses in the next round of the science fair competition, it's a safe bet that they'll accuse the winner of cheating.
We’re talking in all likelihood about parents who named their son after a a pet detective who saved Dan Marino and Snowflake.

Calling the adults who enabled him stupid is fair game though.

I was trying to say the kid is stupid without saying he’s stupid. So I’ll just say it: he’s stupid. 10 year-olds should be able to see why this experiment is so wrong in so many levels. The science fair hicks should be reviewed by the board of education for rewarding stupidity. The people are stupid and the kid is stupid.

My first thought that came to mind when reading this was a quote from the late George Carlin....

"Whatever happened 2 natural selection? Survival of the fittest. The kid who swallows 2 many marbles, doesnt grow up 2 have kids of his own!"

I hope this kid smacks his shin hard with a Razor scooter.

I laughed at this. So glad my kids are grown. Picking up those scooters was a painful reminder of that phase of their lives.
