So the Pats are up 2 scores while KC has done almost nothing outside of one big play... multiple sacks... Chiefs get to go to halftime with their last play being a Mahomes sack fumble... Chiefs look confused and disorganized... AND the Pats are dominating TOP which means KC's defense will be worn out by the fourth quarter. Freakin' fantastic.

Yet people are focused on that one mistake.

Now the Pats defense has to do what they didn't in the regular season game. Carry over that performance to the second half.

If they keep it up this is one of the signature Patriots defensive performances I've ever seen.

It is special teams we should give that advice too. They are the only unit that scare me a bit now.

I know Romo shrugged off the no call penalty based on the result of the play, but shouldn't' a flag be thrown anyways regardless of outcome? Announce penalty and decline it.

Most of the time they throw it to ensure a penalty. In this case an incompletion was fine by them. Thank god he caught it.

We've gone against conventional wisdom and pressured Mahomes by rushing an extra man, more often than not. I think this has caught KC, and Mahomes off guard. He is very inefficient if he's pushed out of his pocket (e.g., pressured but not allowed to escape).

But if someone had told you yesterday that we'd hold the Chiefs to 0 points and be ahead 14-0 at the half despite some mistakes if you say you wouldn't be super happy about that arrangement you're lying.

True. And if you'd told me that the Patriots scored only 14 points in the first half I'd be a little concerned, because against KC you expect a shootout. First half defense was genuinely stunning.

Me too but the game might not have played out the same way if the Pats scored earlier. I think the Chiefs would have been more desperate.

Yep. They would have gone for it on that 4th and less than a yard earlier instead of punting, for example.

Near perfect half. Defense gets a A+. Ofense gets a B+.

This is nowhere near over, they are going to make some plays, we just have to continue to execute the game plan. Everyone just needs to do his job, nothing more, nothing less.
