Tyreek Hill

I know what Inshallah means and I did not think you are actually harmful. As I said, I just found it a disgusting thing to write about someone because they don't like the same football team as you do..

The only one around here who gets a pass on that is Joker!

The world is united by its universal hatred of Rob Parker.

Speaking of Parker, he totally went off this morning on the Pats. Says Sunday is going to be the end of the Pats dynasty and America will rejoice.

Someone needs to do a supercut of him saying that over the past five years overlaid with highlights from the game he said it about, where the Pats won. Kellerman too.

Don't get me wrong but why did this need to be a separate thread outside the "We are onto KC" one ?

It’s important that we cover Hill with his own thread. We should probably devote on more thread over the top of this one, too.

Or, we could limit discussion to one thread, on to KC.

Guess this was a response to a different post.

Why can't we have both threads? One thread is a broad discussion on the upcoming game, whereas this thread is meant to discuss how to stop one specific player in that game: Tyreek Hill. Merging the latter into the former would "limit" the discussion on Tyreek Hill because then it become one simple point (in a broad discussion); rather than a discussion on one specific point. There's a place for both threads.

How about one thread all about the KC game and the other thread I stand on my soapbox like a jerk?

The thread is on page 5 so obviously it has its merit. When it was created I didn't think it would live that long. Mea culpa..

Inshallah, we will have someone covering Tyreek Hill on Sunday.

Both McCourtys on Hill, Gilmore on Watkins or Kelce, and Jackson on whomever Gilmore doesn't cover (Watkins or Kelce).

Might even consider using J. Jones on Hill at times because he's our fastest player, save for perhaps Patterson.

Lots of depth, talent, and athleticism in the secondary. It'll be a tall task but I think the personnel and coaching is there to achieve it.

I would not want to waste the craftiness of Jason McCourty on Hill if Devin is providing over the top help and we are routinely doubling him. I’d rather have the speed of Jonathan Jones or someone who’s willing to just beat the crap out of Hill at the line.

We have two really good CB in Gilmore and Jackson. And you want to put our 4th best CB on the most explosive WR in the league? Is this a suicide mission?

Pats barely doubled Tyreek in regular season game. Kelce got the big attention. It would be foolish to not constantly double Hill over the top.

Kelce may gash them here and there but there are more creative ways to cover Kelce which can trigger a surprise in a key spot. When Hill gashes you it's to the jugular and you lose an opportunity for a 3rd down later in drive. It's all about consistently forcing 3rd downs. Mahommes is great, but it's important to have him feel pressure multiple times each drive. It's a numbers game.

I know it's easier said then done, but I truly believe Pats have what it takes from a talent and discipline stand point to give Mahommes the toughest look he has ever seen in his life. In fact I absolutely expect it.

I heard Berry was covering a guy on the KC scout team man to man wearing an 87 jersey....sounds like Berry will be assigned to Gronk.

Give jones help and have our best cbs lock down other threats. We would have limited the damage Hil had against us if we had help over the top on him. It’s hard to jam hill since he does sweeps and lots of movement in the backfield, we need a fast db on him. On a side note d. McCourty was times faster than hill on an ints return this year.

Jason McCourty often takes the #2 WR...the outside guy. I trust him with help.
Asking him to single cover ‘Reek would be a suicide mission.
Personally, we need to give ‘Reek the Ramsey Snow treatment every chance we get.

If the Pats win tomorrow, you got it. Maybe.
