Found it kind of amusing over there at KC forum, when they are claiming Tom Brady is going to be affected by the cold. Almost like he’s not one of the greatest cold weather QB’s to ever play the game. 13-2 in games under 32. Heard/read a lot of stupid speak, but that really surprised me.

No kidding. They are just dumb. I don’t think the Chiefs fans..or players have any idea what is coming. I really don’t.

I know what’s coming with the chiefs offense. I just wonder if we can slow them enough.

Chiefs by far have the better offense than of those teams we lost against(except maybe the 2013 Broncos), but they also by even a wider margin have the worst defense than any of those teams.
Either their defense got better or the colts are a complete joke

Probably a bit of both. You had a pumped up defense playing in a very rowdy environment against a team who had a relatively easy schedule in the stretch run of the season. They also got behind fairly quickly and likely couldn’t keep their original gameplan true to form.

Do you recommend any good books to learn X’s and O’s?

Take your eye off the ball by Pat Kirwan. Excellent book written for both the novice and experienced a like. Hell it's not only a great x's and o's book it a great book full of NFL history and stories.

If you are good with kids and have time, volunteer to coach Youth Football. From there you'll meet people who played/coached at higher levels. Just listen, learn, and ask questions. Youth programs can also go to the Glazier Coaching Clinic for free, which is 2 days of coaching classes on philosophies and schemes.

Can't second this enough! While coaching AYF I coached with or against several former NFL players and their children. Can't count how many former college guys, and the Glaziers clinics (which as black glass mentioned are free if you are youth coach) are nothing but football porn for 2.5 days.

Beyond the pure joy of watching kids you coached or coached against develop and grow. For instance I coached against a starting TB for Penn St, coached kids playing at ECU, VT, UVA, FSU, Temple etc...you learn so much from football lifers at all levels of the game.

May not be as cold as originally expected. Yesterday afternoon they were saying the low was gonna be 1° with a windchill but it keeps rising every time I look at it. Its at 12° at the moment. Plus the day after is supposed to get up into the 30s. So the low may happen earlier in the evening rather than later.

When its all said and done, I'm thinking on Sun at K/O it will probably be something close to 20° with a windchill of about 10°. And probably slightly warmer than that by the end of the game.

The McCourty's are the fastest players on D. So It's not such a bad idea from that standpoint.

Looking at combine and pro day results Devin McC is slower than Gilmore, Jackson, Jones or Jason McC. Maybe you meant speed of play, not actual athletic ability.

Jason? On Hill?

Hell no.

Hill is never going to be left in a one on one situation. I was astonished at how many times he was in single coverage in the Colts game, and how easily he created mismatches or broken coverages when he went into presnap motion and Colts lost him coming out of the backfield.

Colts basically came very poorly prepared as the Chiefs showed nothing that was not already on tape. I think this is probably because Reid has BB in the back of his head and doesn't really want to show anything.

I also think it bugs the hell out of him that he is winless vs. BB in the playoffs as well as being by and large the "coach that couldn't win the big games."

Reid swallows a lot of pent -up frustration....and some pizzas

DMC is a safety. Jason is a serviceable DB but neither one are going to be on Weeks 1:1.

bad news: since 2009 we are 4-6 when playing an opponent in the postseason that we played in the regular season.

Wins:
2011 vs denver
2012 vs houston
2016 vs houston
2016 vs pittsburgh

Losses:
2009 vs ravens
2010 vs NYJ
2011 vs NYG
2012 vs ravens
2013 vs denver
2015 vs denver

This has nothing to do with Sunday. BB is undefeated vs Reid in the playoffs and that is also pretty meaningless.

2009- No Welker, we sucked
2010- Our defense sucked.
2011- Gronk hurt, our defense sucked
2012- No Gronk
2013- No Gronk
2015- No OTs, Googs, No running game.

As good as Brady and Pats are in cold weather, they are playing on the road in KC. Playing at home in similar conditions is different than playing on the road. I hope the crowd won't be as loud as they normally are and may be we can calm them down with quick scores to start the game.

So it gets warmer in Missouri after the sun goes down? Weird.
