I doubt there are more true Cali boys on the LAC than the Pats. After a series they'll all warm up and weather won't be a factor at all.

Yup, the weather is always overrated. It isn't as if they are out there for 3-4 hours. It's only a series.

I am sure it gets COLD on the bench or during a TV time out.

Other than that, they have locker rooms, coats, heaters, and nowadays we have really good cold weather under layers to wear. I was OK in 3-15 degree weather at Yellowstone National Park 2 weeks ago snowmobiling at 35-40MPH.....

I'd guess that Florida, California and Texas produce the most NFL players by far, and that the ratio of players from warm-winter states to those from cold-winter states is probably about 3 to 1, and roughly even across all pro teams.

Current Sunday forecast for gametime:

Mostly sunny, dry, wind <5mph, temps in upper 20s.

FWIW - next Saturday/Sunday (Championship weekend) the preliminary forecast is for a major winter storm. Currently projecting (for Foxboro) temps around 40f with rain beginning Saturday around 1pm, continuing into Sunday, and then changing over to snow (3"-5") in the late afternoon. Winds in the 12-14 mph range.

Meanwhile, the coast of Maine is currently projected to get slammed with 1-2 FEET of snow between Saturday and Sunday by the same storm.

Well, sh it.

As long as you have internet access to this board, I think the rest of us will be fine. :D

Actually, it sounds like an absolutely beautiful and perfect day for football.

Well, the weather will be a slight factor. But there will be little wind, and little to no precipitation.

Plotter.php

Basically, at gametime it will be around +/-25° with a windchill of about +/-20°. Wind speeds almost non existent. Precipitation non existent.

Should be a good game from both sides

I don't think it's about being true Cali boys, it's about playing games and having practice in the cold. Getting used to how the ball feels when you throw, catch, run with or kick it.
Plus, if I go to Hawaii for 2 weeks in February when I get home it's friggin cold here. It doesn't matter that I've spent almost 50 years living here. I've become acclimated to the nice weather in 2 short weeks.

When the Pats host the AFC championship game next weekend, the long term forecast is showing a weekend of snow. Any word on what kind of storm they are talking about?

I'm flying into Boston next Friday and leaving Sunday AM. The notion of getting stranded at Logan Sunday is starting to piss me off.

Footballs will all be around 11.2 PSI. This happens because pressure in a closed system changes directly proportionally to any temperature change provided volume stays constant.

Not sure if that’s relevant.

But Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson both said that isn’t true!!! (And then retracted after the witch was burned.)

Eh--Bill Nye said it because he was a Seahawks fan. Tyson was actually corrected on his bad math and he acknowledged his error.

That chart is from NOAA. Im familiar with it because I do a lot of boating and its important for me to get the weather right. It's the best source I've found and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants or needs good weather data.

Here's the link.
Hourly Weather Forecast for 42.06N 71.26W (Elev. 249 ft)

BTW - It should be just like today with slightly more cloud cover. So if youre going to the game you can put your gear on, go outside and get a good idea if you'll be dressed appropriately tomorrow.

Not hosting afccg next well unfortunately

The advantage has nothing to do with where players are from, it has to do with practicing in it daily for months. Wind chill will be around 20•, and that will hurt the Chargers.

Yes. This is my go to website for accurate readings of weather forecasts. Don't really trust the likes of accuweather or the weather channel. Weather Channels website loads like shyte for me anyways
