Kliff Kingsbury wants to pursue NFL job

NFL & College are completely different animals. You don't win or lose the same way.

Defense matters more, effects the results more in college. It's much harder to build a good one, especially when you're getting the leftovers that won't be in the league when they're done w school.

The NFL is all about offense, passing efficiency & KK is as good as it gets there. That's why he's a HC. Doesn't mean he'll be good or bad. There are so many things going into it & they have absolutely nothing to do w his previous record in college.

@AndyJohnson what exactly do you disagree w?

Your point? Name the conference that has more stud QBs in the league than bad ones.
My point is that Big 12 defenses suck and that QB success in the Big 12 does not necessarily equate to being successful in the NFL.

I've read the guy's resume twice and can't figure it out. He threw two passes in the NFL and got fired for coaching a college team to a losing record. Does it make sense that he's in demand for a head coaching job?

It's called failing your way up.

And my point was that the Big 12 defenses do suck overall, but not as bad as they seem when you put them up against opponents out of conference. The style of play in the Big 12 is a big reason for the poor numbers on D.

And again, there's not a conference in college football where QB success equates to being successful in the NFL. They're not all Brady or Brees coming out of the Big 10, they're not all Rodgers coming out of the Pac 12.

@AndyJohnson I'm curious what exactly you disagree w?

Assuming it's about how defense effects the college game vs pros but don't want to jump to conclusions.

I guess people really believe college/pro are the same? People really think defense effects the NFL game more? Honestly how can spend so much on a topic but have no idea what you're talking about?
