Reminds me of when the movie "Jaws" first came out and people in Kansas and Oklahoma were seeking counseling.

I saw that at the movies when it first came out and teenage girls sitting behind me kept screaming. Years later I was watching the movie Moby **** and realized Jaws was a modern twist on that old story.

I'm old; I had already read Moby **** in school a couple of years before Jaws was released. In fact, and referencing your point, our English teacher that fall gave us the assignment not only of reading Jaws the novel but also of preparing to be tested on both the story itself and on the comparisons between Jaws and Moby ****, including about how each of the 3 protagonists resembled Ahab. Damn summer blockbuster.
