So, the tally is:

1st - Late
2nd - Late (Chicago)
2nd - Late
3rd - Early (Detroit)
3rd - Late (Comp)
3rd - Late (Comp)
4th - Late
5th - Mid (Gordon trade)
5th - Late (Comp)
7th - Late (Eagles)
7th - Late (Comp)

11 picks with 6 in the first 100 picks....can't complain. As others have said, we need it.

6 picks in the top 3 rounds is awesome...They need a lot of players, don't faulk it up

The pick from the Gordan trade is a 7th. We gave up a 5th.

I've got 3 in the seventh not 4, but otherwise your count is like mine.

I count 11 picks total. Six picks in the first three rounds.

Overthecap has 4 in the 7th:
- the Pats' own
- a Comp for Fleming
- one from PHL from a 2018 draft pick-swap
- one from CLE in the Josh Gordon deal (it ended up NOT being conditional)

1st - #28 or later

2nd - #56 (CHI)
2nd - #60 or later

3rd - #73 (DET)
3rd - #97 (COMP - Solder)
3rd - #101 (COMP - Butler)

4th - #13o or later

5th - #175 (COMP - Amendola)

no 6th

7th - #232, #241, #244, #252

Interesting that the rest of the AFC East have none.

But by all means let's hope they do Faulk it up

I incorrectly listed mine.

Yet, 6 picks between #28-#101....that is gonna be HELPFUL....*IF* BB doesn't trade down/into 2020, LOL.

It could also be higher than #28 if we lose this weekend...and the Colts/Eagles/Cowboys all win...I think it could be #25, right?

Whether the picks work out or not is a different story but Caserio & BB once again set themselves up with a lot of flexibility for the draft.

6 picks in the top 101 with a team that has been to the last 7 AFCCGs is absurd.

OTC has there 2019 projections up, Pats will get the 4 pick max with 2 3rd rounders, a 5th & a 7th

Projecting The 2019 Compensatory Picks | Over the Cap

Malcolm Butler continues to be the gift that keeps on giving

So here's what they're looking at for 2019:

1st Round: Own selection.

2nd Round: Bears (56th overall); Own selection.

3rd Round: Lions (72nd overall); Compensatory pick (Solder); Compensatory pick (Butler).

4th Round: Own selection.

5th Round: Compensatory pick (Amendola)

6th Round: None.

7th Round: Browns (Josh Gordon trade); Eagles (draft pick swap from 2018); Own selection; Compensatory pick (Fleming)

Wow, that's a boat load of picks. I'm sure we'll see the Pats do a lot of movement with these - many trades up and down and grabbing additional picks for 2020.

Interesting that the rest of the AFC East have none.

Good teams have more good players than can fit into their salary cap structure. They let them go sign elsewhere and receive comp picks in return.

Bad teams do not have as many good players. They have cap space and roster holes, and sign players which take them out of the running of comp picks.

It's the NFL circle of life.

For the Bills, 'Fins, and Jete, it's more like the Circle of Jerk.

I would expect at least one trade down; there should be value at least once. The difference between 28 and 101 is lots less than some think.

I also expect to trade one of the 2nds into 2020, perhaps picking up a 3rd.
=======
Last year we had 5 picks in the top 100 instead of this years 6. We drafted 5 players, traded for Brown, and traded for two 2019 picks. I expect about the same this year for the first 5. I would note that we will have a 6th pick in the top 105 plus a 4th rounder and a 5th rounder. Also we have 4 picks in the 200's as we had last year (Berrios, Crossen, Izzo and Etling). To be complete, we also added Jackson!

Wynn
Michel
Dawson
Trent Brown
Bentley
Sam
