Interesting. McCarthy went 5-6 in playoffs since 2010 SB win with Rodgers, missing playoffs the last 2 years. That's a lot of experience that can only help the NYJ.

McCarthy coaching your pathetic Jete would be GREAT news for everyone on their 2019 schedule. The man is notorious for being set in his ways and lacking imagination, which alienated Rodgers, eventually the team, fan base and entire organization. He'd be a wonderful fit in Jersey to perpetuate the suckage.

I'll add that McCarthy will sink to da Jete's level rather than Darnold raising to Rodger's level.

McCarthy has an appointment in CLE next week and if he's smart he'd take that job instead.

He’s not a bad coach, but the Jets need someone who comes in, demands full control, and essentially tells the organization it’s his way or the highway. McCarthy is going to get eaten alive by that idiotic, dysfunctional organization and the N.Y. pressure/press. He couldn’t even survive the small time Wisconsin press and a power struggle with one player.

Lombardi (or a clone) would take one look at the state of the league, and retire.

No hittng a WR hard?
Can't tap a QB in the helmet or below the thigh.
Can't put your weight on a QB.
If a runner ducks last second and you touch his helmet... penalty.
CBs can't touch a WR, or it's pass interference, and teams drive down the field on penalties alone.

Kinda of a ***gy league now.
