What an amazing achievement. A length of consistency and sustained excellence and elite play that rivals any sport.

At least 11 of 16 wins in a season means at least a 69% winning percentage, equivalent to winning 111 baseball games or 56 basketball games annually...

We have been blessed since 2001.

Happy New Year !!

I love Pro Football Reference. That table is great.

Also insane that our 11 wins is our lowest in 9 years. How many teams haven’t gotten 11 in that full period? I’m guessing at least 2/3 of the league. (I could be wildly off. I’m sure pro football reference could tell us).

A simply incredible stat!

It’s going to be very difficult for anybody to ever duplicate that type of success!

Okay, the Browns I can believe, but the Jets!! Can I have some of whatever you're smoking:)

Also of note we've finished with the best record in the East 18/18 years. Only losing the division on tie breakers twice.
And on both occasions where they missed the playoffs, they left the field after their last game still alive. So the patriots haven’t played a single snap of football since Brady took over where they were out of it. Amazing.

Speaking of insane...

Fun Fact 1: The Pats lowest win total in the past 9 years equals the highest win total in Jete franchise history.

Fun Fact 2: New England's kicker has played in as many playoff games in his career as the Jete have in their entire history but with 5 more wins

I have a soft spot for 11-5.

Reminds me of 1985 and of course 2001.

Consider: They have won at least 10 games for 16 straight seasons. They have won the AFC East for 10 straight seasons. They have had a first-round bye for nine straight seasons. With one playoff win, they will reach the AFC Championship game for an eighth straight year. And with a win in the AFC Championship, they would reach their ninth Super Bowl and their third straight.

Sure, this felt like an uneven regular season, and it was — but only by the Patriots’ incredibly high standards.

And the team would have had 12 wins not 11 if not for the fluke shuffle play.
