Yup, since 1960, the team has 498 regular season wins, the most of any of the original 8 AFL teams and a mere nine (EDIT 11 )wins behind another team that started in 1960, the Dallas Cowboys.

By decade it is even more impressive:
60's- 63 wins
70's-66 wins
80's- 78 wins
90's-68 wins
00's-112 wins
10's- 111 wins ( in progress)

-----------------
FWIW most wins in a decade Indy 2000's w 115 and then SF 1990s with 113. The PAts have 20 games left this decade to take the mantle....

Wow. Amazing that (barring disaster) they can surpass last decade’s win total with an entire 2019 season to spare.

So if they beat the Dolphins, win #500 could come against the Steelers... sounds like destiny to me.
According to my calculations, it took the Steelers 73 years to get to win
#500 ( back in 2006) , while the Pats may do it in 59 years, hopefully...
Steelers have been around since 1933 and their first playoff victory was in 1972 and it took an "immaculate reception" for that...

All-Time Playoff Wins By Franchise:

Squealers: 36
Patriots: 34
Cowboys: 34
Packers: 34
49ers: 31

With any luck Pats can nail down most franchise playoff wins and most Super Bowl wins this year

For a little perspective...

Squealers: 36 in 85 years
Patriots: 34 in 58 years
Cowboys: 34 in 58 years
Packers: 34 in 97 years
49ers: 31 in 72 years

Pats have passed Miami in winning pct. this year too.

Indy has record for most regular season wins in a decade. We can tie that in 9 seasons if we win out!

I say just let them do it by next season . 9 seasons seems too long of a wait.

Wow! Quite an accomplishment for this organization!

More so for those of us old enough to remember ( most) of the first 30 plus years of the organization...... Years of futility with occasional beacons of hope ( Fairbanks era, 1985) with one playoff victory in the first 25 years of the franchise....

I would be overjoyed if that were to happen AND without injuries...but I don't know...gonna be tough...and we need help, of which we haven't been given much, Sh!tsdirt's losses to the Donkeys & Chargers notwithstanding.

Imagine where Dallas would be if Jerrah minded his own business and let Jimmy run the ship.

Jimmy might have been BB before BB was BB.

Wow! They have a chance to shatter that record.

Interesting that Indy 2000s and SF 1990s only won one Super Bowl apiece. This just goes to show how hard it is to build a dynasty with lots of championships in the NFL. Even the 2010s Patriots only have 2 SBs - not that it's anything to scoff about - but they will probably end up being easily the winningest team of any decade. Hope they can add to that total. They do have 4 SB appearances this decade, whereas the Colts and 49ers had 3 combined over those two decades.
