They swung and missed this year on a 7th-round WR. They can't afford to take that chance again at this juncture. Certainly they have whiffed on upper-round WR picks in the past, but the odds are much better that you'll get a playmaker in the second round than in the sixth or seventh. For every Antonio Brown there are a hundred Smith-Shusters.

Not much of a "swing" at pick #210. More like a bunt. Anyway, I'm not particularly concerned about a late 7th, especially when the Pats got the pick from the Raider along with Patterson in exchange for a 5th rounder - a 5th-rounder that the Pats had acquired from Browns in the Shelton deal.

In any case, as far we know, Berrios iss only a "miss" for this season's action. We really don't know yet what he'll look like in 2019.

I'm interested to see what you guys think after some of these WRs play in their bowl games.

And the all-star games. The Shrine game has been a fairly significant resource for the Pats, along with the Senior Bowl.

That end zone tackle shed by Montgomery was kinda Gronk-like.
I’d love to have him too. But he’ll be long gone before it’d be reasonable for us to take a RB

Now that you've said that, BB will probably take him in the early 2nd round.

What do the experts on here think of Andy Isabella as a mid to late round guy?
Been on the radar for years. Smart guy that has been nominated for every award (football, community, school)

Tiny but uses everything he can to win that rep. Very hard to defend if you don't get hands on him which really hurts his success rate. Again he's just really small & it'll only get worse next level.

Best traits are r/r & hands. Has some refinement to his routes & no matter the coverage will find a spot to sit in. Vg getting off the line & in route away from his man w his quicks. Strictly slot & will have an uphill climb bc of size & not overly physical. Esp his hands which if you've seen our DB's play you know they are taught to rip down the middle of a players chest which always makes for a tough catch. Honestly tough to see him as a full time guy but he has plenty of tools to contribute.

Talked about him & a bunch of other prospects in my thread that probably should be main page'd now that I'm an expert

A hundred JuJu’s? 106 catches for 1400 yards; your saying there are hundreds of these guys? JJSS is a top 10 wr right now.

That being said, I do believe day 2 early day 3 is the sweet spot for wr draft picks. For every draft where an AJ green Julio Jones go top 10 there’s a draft consisting of Corey Davis, Mike Williams, and John Ross.
I did worry after posting that that I might have exaggerated. I was just trying to make the point that for every top starter found as an UFA there are a lot more top starters taken in the first round.

The kid from West Virginia, sill is someone that could excel in our option route offense.

If there’s anything I’ve learned over the years, it’s that BB makes picks based off of what Patsfans posters want him to do
Wouldn't be surprised to see my thread show up in his brower history.

Should be noted that Crossen, Duke, Wynn, Garcia, Rivers, Wise, McDermott, J Jones, Sony & many others were labeled P-TP (Patriot-Type Players) long before the draft z

He might not be listening to us but we know the type of player he goes for & have been on point more often than not.
