Neither do you, really.
Enough that if team mates and people trying to help were depending on me, I could hold off on drugs and booze for a few more weeks.
Gordon could care less.

LOL. It's legal so maybe I will smoke some devils lettuce since Reagan isn't President anymore
There will be some changes as there are any year. Off-season roster moves do not indicate that he thinks an entire roster is a mistake as you suggested.Ah, so you don’t think there’s going to be some wholesale roster changes this offseason? That’s an interesting (and moronic) take.
Can you provide a source for the non drug claims? Thanks, this would be new info to me.I'm sorry but the guy has admitted to previously joining a gang, stealing cars, fighting, scamming, and selling drugs.
There’s no doubt that Gordon’s actions are terribly selfish. That’s something that all addicts share. There isn’t any logic behind their actions. For example, any normal person would be focused on (finally) hitting free agency and making tens of millions of dollars, amongst many other reasons to tough it out for awhile longer. It truly is a disease that it baffling, cunning, and powerful. That said, there should be some accountability on his part, and any reasonable individual should realize that he’s acting terribly selfish.Enough that if team mates and people trying to help were depending on me, I could hold off on drugs and booze for a few more weeks.
I’m not sure what his source is, but I believe that Gordon’s non-drug crimes stem from his youth. It may have been discussed in the GQ interview from last fall. Can you provide a source for the non drug claims? Thanks, this would be new info to me.
I don’t mean to be insensitive to anyone struggling with a crippling weed addiction, but I have to agree with you here.
Agreed. My response was from several days ago when another poster had stated that it was just weed. I’d have to imagine that you’re likely right, although we may never truly know exactly what went down. The league isn’t allowed to release information on which drugs were in the players system. The player controls the story. Every player is going to say it’s weed since it’s the most mild drug, implies they’re being unfairly punished too harshly, don’t have a real substance addiction, etc. I’d bet a lot of money it wasn’t weed.

What a grown-up, educated and empathetic viewpoint. Well-done.Yeah I got way behind on this thread and realized after I responded that I was like 20 pages back.
I’ve yet to see an NFL player, still with potential to continue this career, saying they are addicted to opiates, alcohol, prescription pills, etc. We see a lot of guys (Gordon, Martavius Bryant, for example) with the weed cop out, just like the “honest mistake over the counter supplement” excuse for PEDs. But their ability to make those excuses, true or not, is a bargained for players right.
I just wish some people on this forum would stop acting like Gordon decided to grow a pot plant and make a homemade bong so he could have some fun playing his XBox. The guy is a serious drug addict, and as you’ve pointed out, this disease is a real b1tch. I don’t personally have the gene, but my everyday life is constantly effected by people around me who everything to lose but use substances with the same resolve as we eat food and drink water. Lying, deceiving, letting people down, it’s a tragic and unennding liefestyle. I too find myself constantly swinging back and forth about being angry and blaming for not making better choices, and then feeling empathy like they truly have zero control, like it’s hard wired into their brain. Addiction is hell. I’m hopeful it will be a treatable condition by the time my kids are my age so they won’t be effected directly or indirectly in the same way I am, and others around me are, in trying to cope with those that effect us.
Not sure what point you are trying to make. Are you saying because these posters are basically writing the team off they are not true fans of the team?
Many of the posters you called out I know for a fact are legit fans.
Do they have a chance to make it to the SB? Of course they do. Its accurate to say the team is not as strong as past teams that did make it. Because that is a fact, the skepticism is warranted.
If by quitting you mean not believing this team will win the SB, then yes, I am a quitter. I don't see how anyone with sense can sit here and look at this team and honestly think they are winning the SB.
Even reaching it is a stretch at this point.... And that was before they lost their best receiver. That doesn't mean I won't still be watching every game and cheering them like I always do. I would love to be proven wrong.
But anyone doubting or "quitting" on this teams chances at a title this year has every right to do so given the state and position of this team right now.

It’s pretty clear that you don’t understand what the word means. Here’s a game - would you lay every single penny you had on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl this year? Yes or no? Why or why not?
So it appears that he shook Kraftys crack squad of security people during the bye week? Is this worse than not paying Deon Branch? Who the fck did he hire to watch Gordon? Larry, Moe and Curly? Or was it Larry, Moe and Shemp since it was cheaper?
