Reading some of the back-and-forths on this thread are funny. Has there ever been an argument on this board after Super Bowl win?

Yeah, the whole "pitchers and catchers" comment at 28-3.

and maineman, Wheelman, Wordsmyth et al..these posts aren't directed at you people. It's meant for these drive-by, pi$$ant, scary Marys that can't wait to unload on these threads after every single freaking game. I want to know what THEY want...jeezus krist it's getting ridiculous
Never crosses my mind. You say it better than I could ever!

you wouldn't be fluffing up the featherbed for one of your homeboys , now would you PScott?

That game has shown our defense is still alive. What I liked the most was constant blitzing and reducing the time for Cousins. Good game for Hightower, his presence and leadership is so important for this team. One of the best WR duos were confined as well so kudos for our secondary.
I like our offense. More and more players are involved in passing game including Burkhead and Michel. I prefer team effort what is confusing for our opponents. If the offense stays healthy we would be hard to stop.
Next stop is Miami - tough and important game.

Seems like @QuantumMechanic has my profile set as his home page.

This guy turns on his computer and starts clicking 'disagree' on every post I make. Not once does he even reply to talk about what he disagrees with - which is the entire purpose of a forum.

Sad life.

My son and I were discussing that during the game. They seemed to also know that Cousins took a long time to snap the ball or Cousins was waiting for them to set before snapping the ball. Either way it was an interesting new development.

Rex Ryan says hello. They took a page out of his playbook. No one knew what D they were in. Tough to pick up assignments. It was beautiful and worked really well.

there's no deep help in Cover Zero...that means your safeties have to be pretty reliable. Of course, as everyone knows, our safeties suck, as does everybody on defense. Must be luck...that's it. Blind dumb Patriot luck...oh, and cheating. Don't forget, our safeties have built in head sets to steal the other teams signals. It's bad...real bad.

I still think they can get better. I'm liking Jackson as #2 CB. J-Mac is more experienced, but Jackson is much more of a playmaker.

I love that they can just vary coverage with no substantial falloff between JMac and JCJ. Never let opponents know what is coming and be comfortable planning ahead.

Wait, are there honestly people complaining after this win?
Thanks for saving me the trouble of reading the thread. This place is crazy.

Yes. There were people asking for McDaniels head after the direct snap to White, bozos that blamed Brady's INT on the OC and those that were pissed that we threw late in the game only to be pissed a few moments later at them running the ball.

In short it was the usual circus.

I remember people saying Kelce could block which after watching him this season turned out to not be true at all.

Maybe they have seen him block a punter or kicker on ST or something.

I'm fine with Patterson being a "semi-secret" weapon. There's really no reason to use him "more" right now.

It was like Brady saying, "You guys scheme to take away Gordon, Edelman and Gronk? Fine. I've got Patterson. Our defense takes away Thielen and Diggs, then what do YOU have?"

If some future foe takes away Patterson, Brady/McD will figure out a way to kill them with Dorsett between the 20s and then toss a TD to Hollister.

Nine different Pats players caught at least one pass from Brady yesterday. Meanwhile, seven different Pats players had at least one rush for positive yardage. Only Develin didn't have a carry for at least five yards, and he had 2 TDs. The Pats hung 160 rushing yards at a 4.1 ypa clip, and the 2 rushing TDs, on one of the top-2 run defenses in the league.

This is how I can tell when the Pats offense is finally clicking - when they can use pretty much anyone at any time as a productive weapon against a good defense.

Yeah.. unlike some other games the offense mcD and Brady had an answer in the second half when the game was in the balance... Several answers actually.. that's what you want in these big games. Excellent..!

Kelce has never passed a mirror without admiring his own bad self....I'll bet he has red lipstick kisses tattoed all over his neck

Sorry if already posted.

Very pleased with what I saw on defense tonight. It was their most complete game, so far this year.

I still think they can get better. I'm liking Jackson as #2 CB. J-Mac is more experienced, but Jackson is much more of a playmaker.

I'm fairly impressed that Jackson has already built enough trust for the Pats to have been using him as the full time LCB since the beginning of the second half of the Jete game. JMac had been very good over there since he replaced Rowe as the starting LCB in week-2.

Jackson's coverage is a little tighter than JMac's, and he appears to have better ball skills. Neither has needed constant support from a safety over the top, just as Gilmore hasn't. That's recently begun to allow the safeties able to roam a lot more freely and help to disguise coverages pre-snap.

Both JMac and Jackson are very good tacklers. JMac has been especially good at preventing YAC.

JMac in the slot has, so far, been more consistent that JJ (who was really very good up until the Titans game).

After this performance against the Vikes, I'm kind of expecting Dawson to make his debut against the 'Fins next week, perhaps mostly slot, and in a rotation with Jackson, and JMac (JMac drops back to LCB< Jackson goes out and Dawson takes the slot). It might not be for a whole lot of snaps - maybe 20%-30% - but still at least getting his feet wet.

I've always considered it to be a good thing when a boundary corner doesn't get noticed much during the course of an entire game. IMHO, it means that his coverage has probably been discouraging throws in his direction.
...and he played 50something snaps. What the hell was I watching?

I had a family event yesterday and wasn't completely focused...:p
