Jake Fromm looks legit from what I’m seeing against Bama. So does the RB swift

As I said before, if we wait to draft a qb in 2020, Fromm would be a great choice.

We use the 2019 draft to load up on defensive athletes.

:mad:Ffs Georgia

Well Georgia play calling on that 4th 11 was up there with the colts... that has lost them the game.

Waddle for Bama looks legit already..

Oh and Jake Fromm could easily be the QB to take over Brady. Only thing I want to see is him control a 4th Quarter and show us the clutch factor if he has it

Smart lost that game for Georgia. Played not to lose in the 4th instead of closing the game out.

Do you guys think Georgia should still get in? I think they’re a better team top to bottom than OSU and Oklahoma. They just kicked Alabama’s ass for 3 1/2 quarters.

I think they're overall a better team. Tough sell to give a 2-loss team a place, though. I have a soft spot for Georgia (sorry, Kontra) and even so I can't justify them making it over OSU based on win/loss record. If they wanted a spot, they should have played better in the 4th, and had an inside track to the championship. It's a rough way to go out, though.

Also, imagine the outcry from UCF if they make it. Hah.

They absolutely should get in imo. They've been a top team since Sept. Beat some great & more importantly hung w the giant. This process is a mess tho.

Oklahoma vs Bama is going to be a slaughter. Notre Dame vs Clemson will be intriguing but I think we’re headed for Clemson vs Alabama round 4.

Last I checked, football games were 4 quarters, not 3 1/2 quarters. Should we give Atlanta the Lombardi Trophy from SB51?

No ****!? 4 whole quarters?

Only good thing there is seeing Lawrence on the big stage VS Sabama.

Can't beat that type of experience, good or bad.

Also if I'm Bill I've already talked or thought about KK. Apparently Mcvay reached out.

There was a thread about HOF's not to long ago & winning was brought up a bunch. Winning is so much more than 1 player or coach. Especially in football, it's such a collective effort.

Guys like KK, Leach, Riley, Herman, K Wilson & others etc have influenced so many. To me that's also greatness that you might not be able to measure by stats.

If NFL adapts to the college game we'll see the quality of QB play increase for sure.

Where is Kliff Kingsbury going to wind up?

I thought he was going to USC?

I thought he was going to USC?
Apparently he's hearing offers from some teams, who knows. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's at USC. That's huge for them & Daniels. Makes perfect sense. I'd love to see him as Bakers OC & them bury the hatchet if there is still beef there. I think he deserves a shot at NFL OC & it would be a smart/somewhat big step by the NFL.

Well it just seemed like you weren't aware because, for some strange reason, you think Georgia should be rewarded for "kicking Alabama's ass for 3 1/2 quarters."

(And I am politely ignoring the fact that your above assessment isn't even correct - Having a 28-21 lead hardly counts as "kicking someone's ass")

1. You really don’t think that committee factors in close games against good teams like Alabama? Yes or no.

2. They pulled within 7 with 3 minutes left in the third. They then tied it with 5 minutes remaining. Prior to Smart going overly conservative on both sides of the ball, they were very much getting their asses handed to them.

3. Georgia vs Oklahoma. Who wins?

History - including this year - says no. That's why OU is in and not UGA.

Now now, stop moving the goalposts. You said Georgia was kicking Alabama's ass for 3 1/2 quarters. The score after 3 1/2 quarters was 28-21. On what planet is 28-21 an ass kicking?

I guess Atlanta kicked New England's ass in Super Bowl 51...

If you're being honest then you'd have to admit that, just like the OU-UGA game last year, it would likely go down to the wire and could go either way. Georgia is a good team, but they are not light years ahead of the competition.

OU is in because of their record on top of the fact that the committee, for whatever reason, gives the Big 12 the same gravitas that they give the SEC, which is clearly a superior conference. But the committee clearly weighs those types of games. It's perhaps the biggest reason OU got in over OSU (loss vs. a ranked team in Texas vs. getting blown out by Purdue).

You're of the opinion, then, that the score tells the story of the game? It's an interesting take. But yes, that was very much an ass kicking. Smart's conservative nature at the end of it is what cost them.

No, it wouldn't. Georgia would stomp them out just like Alabama is about to. Their defense is somehow even worse than it was last year and, even though I love Murray, he's not Mayfield.

But you can't even answer the question with a straight yes or no which tells me that you know Georgia is the better team. So, with that being stated, you can't sit there with a straight face and tell me that the committee just put in the four best teams. It's just another feather in the cap for those that want the playoff field to be expanded.
