Seriously it’s 7-0. Stfu dude.
It’s not about being down 7. It’s about the how they haven’t exactly improved. BB stresses the best football is played in November, I’m not sure that’s really happened.

That literally has nothing to do with what just happened

Sure it does. Defense puts up a stand first drive. Brady sucks it up minus one pass instead of ramming it down their throats and put them up 7-0.

Belichick knows he's got the division locked up. He's just trying to ruin the Jets 2019 draft pick.

I don't know I think that super bowl last year had an effect on him. You bust your butt all year long only to have your coach bench a defensive starter the entire game and you end up losing. That has to grind on you mentally. He feels like he put in all that work for nothing.
If that's the case he needs to get over it.

Beside horrible officiating, yeah, the defense is poor.

The front-7, which is almost entirely to blame for their issues, is woefully unathletic and lacking talent.

The Patriots have a number of guys starting in their front seven who probably shouldn't even be in the league. Shelton, Roberts. These guys are horrible football players. The secondary is fine, they do what they can with utterly clean pockets all day.
Add Wise to the list. He’s a fringe player at best.

lol @AndyJohnson disagreeing.

We desperately need a pass rush.

J. Jones always just freezes at the top of a route for some reason. It's plagued him all season. I don't understand why they haven't identified and/or corrected that by now.

Lovely start. The idea of course is to keep the game close so that the network does not ax the game.

Agree completely on not improving in November. But I’m responding to the fact it’s only 7-0 in the first to the jets. Far from over

This team is simply not playing good football on either side of the ball right now. And they’re usually humming by late November. Soft as cake on the road, too, which is unusual for a BB and Brady team. This continues and they will get absolutely clapped in the postseason.

That's the 09 formula, in which case we won't even make it out of our home stadium on Wild Card weekend.

Pats are too often just playing stupid this year. That's on coaching.
On defense, in particular, it's also the result of being untalented. The Patriots can't keep up with other teams and lack a good pash rush. So they hold and go for late hits because it's basically all they can do.

Attention New England Patriots: the bye is OVER. Please start playing this game called football.

It really does. This team all around looks weak and lethargic. It’s not that great. Brady has been able to mask up a lot over the last couple years. Now he’s no longer able to do that.

So its bradys fault that wise Jr committed a pathetic penalty or the lack of tackling on defense in general that drive?

No excuse NOT to score 28+ on the nyj
