Not to toot my own horn, but I said pretty explicitly that week that it was clear Jacksonville had spent way too much time and energy prepping for the NE game specifically, and thus probably not the rest of the games on the schedule, and that they’d likely crash and burn the rest of the year. I’m pretty happy to have been very right, not to say that I was the only one who thought so.Weird how making the 2nd game of the regular season your Super Bowl can haunt you.

This is actually something that's been happening for years. Not to toot my own horn, but I said pretty explicitly that week that it was clear Jacksonville had spent way too much time and energy prepping for the NE game specifically, and thus probably not the rest of the games on the schedule, and that they’d likely crash and burn the rest of the year. I'd be really curious to see how the coaches deliver that message to their teams... since it seems the Patriots become a "super important" game - how do you get that same focus and energy for every other game which is, by this logic, "not super important"? I guess the answer is you don't, which is why they crash. This is actually something that's been happening for years.
07 Pats crushed teams so bad most lost the following week.
You see it in individual games & sometimes they even crush that teams winning window.
Most NFL games are close but every team that plays NE gets so amped up mentally & physically it hurts them after.
Sometimes that L turns into a ton of L's.
Coach Coughlin needs to take over.I'd be really curious to see how the coaches deliver that message to their teams... since it seems the Patriots become a "super important" game - how do you get that same focus and energy for every other game which is, by this logic, "not super important"? The bottom line is whether or not the player has the physical talent. IMO, Bortles has a good arm, can make most of the throws, and he's a pretty big sturdy guy. I'd say his issues have mostly been in his play and not in his ability. Not likely it would be fixed going to another team, but not impossible.Blake Bortles is a guy the Patriots had interest in during the draft where we settled for Jimmy yay
Anyway hes played really well against us twice.
He could be a target to try to win games when Tom walks away.
Yes I realize it sounds terrible going from Brady to Bortles.
