Looks like the NFL is going to delay actually punishing Ford and Jones for their ejections. But nope. The Commissioner's office is FAIR.. UH HUH.. Sure it is..

Thanks Captain my Captain. ST could use a boost. As long as he stays ready to help the nickel and dime packages but never steps foot on the field I agree. If Patricia gave up on him I hope we have similar courage. It is time to move on.

Flowers is a good STer. And I agree with choosing Bentley over him. But Bentley is gone; even Sam is gone.

And yes, if Flowers is active to play ST's, he is an emergency backup in dime defenses. We are very thin at LB.

IMO, Davis is not of much use. I suspect that Grissom now is preferred as an active emergency DE.

I suppose Crossen is warming the bench for Dawson, but he performs no useful purpose on the roster.

My BOTTOM LINE is that Flowers is a useful STer, who could be an emergency backup LB in dime situations. To me, that's more value that Davis brings, or Crossen.

Davis actually was of much use already this season. He is virtually a rookie backup that showed he can step up, has perfect size for NE DE and all indications are they see him as (some kind of) future.

Crossen was a core STer last week, he is kept on a relatively deep CB unit for a reason. Indications are they see some future in him as well.

They both outplayed M.Flowers in preseason by far.

I was pretty big advocate for M.Flowers (incl. playing “star“) here from the moment they traded for him last year . but have you actually seen him play THIS year (ST incl.)?

If not have a look @maineman209 post..

btw - i wouldn't mind seeing him back at some point this year esp. if he can get at least close to the level of last year but not on account of losing Davis or Crossen..

Really? Crossen has been getting time in Dime formations and on special teams. Yet you think he serves no useful purpose? SMH..

quite a blow . #4 WR gadget speedster and kick+punt returner . more work for Hill

i liked Devin Ross' game in college . solid hands, slot&out, returns, unselfish, blocks well . thought Pats would be interested in him as udfa . went to TEN and got released w inj. settlement.
no WR currently on PS . id like if they give him a shot . not many WRs under contract after this season..

Wimann was released w inj. settlement by NE earlier this yr. Pat type player, versatile HB
Edebali in the “mold“ of M.Flowers - sub OLB + ST

his family being in Foxb. with him is important rehab foundation

Just another incredible example of what a leader Tom Brady is, and many others in that organization that have built a culture of respect and accountability

Gordon is now removed from an area that he had developed lots of bad habits and acquaintances, has gone through an extensive rehabilitation program and has committed himself to a path of redemption... the last chance he'll get, too

In his new location, he has a coach and QB that are the greatest of all time at their respective crafts leading a team that consistently is in contention to win Super Bowls year after year. Its an atmosphere that can allow him to have laser focus on doing what he needs to do to get better, and the power of people like Belichick and Brady is that their credibility is unquestionable... They demand respect by their reputation alone, but Brady is very approachable and makes sure that the people joining the organization and locker room feel welcomed.

Really rooting for Gordon, both as a human being and also for my own selfish reasons of wanting to watch his talents be unleashed upon opposing defenses to the Patriots benefit, and more importantly, my viewing pleasure!

I just hope he's dating a quality woman, because that girl could make or break him during this critical point in his life.

I wouldn't mind signing Connor Cook to the PS if he's amenable to learn how to become a true pro from the best there's ever been. The rest of those names aren't worth the bother.
