Actually, he said it MIGHT be Farrow.. He wasn't positive.. And he messed up the first time calling him a DB.. Corrected it to say RB..

Is it definitely Farrow?

The Pats think Farrow > Webb. Shows how much I know ...

Don't sweat it. Farrow - Webb - Barner: Bottom. Of. The. Barrel.

Well, I can see that Rex Burkhead and Jeremy Hill aren't walking through the door ... or maybe they will walk through the door, but they won't be running.

So there we are.

Read this piece about Barner by Mike Reiss, captain, and even your stony heart will melt, won't it? ;)

I suppose there's always a possibility of a Dion Lewis-type of renaissance during his 6th season, but I don't trust him - or White or Michel for that matter - to help us Kill the Clock during the 4th quarter when Everybody knows that we are trying to do exactly that. We've had one of those types of Big Backs here since 2001.

Not arguing about that, Captain -- the Pats are clearly shopping at Filene's Basement. But I'll find it easy to root for him because he's someone who's worked hard for what he's had in his career and doesn't take it for granted.

As for his running style, it seems to me that Ivan Fears gets the best out of the BJGE types but the more spontaneous ones don't always do so well. Even Dion wasn't always used to his best advantage.

As far as I can tell, it seems to be a very shallow barrel at the moment - not a lot of difference between the crap at the bottom and the crap that's floating around on the surface.

It actually shows how people get unreasonably absorbed annually by players flashing in the preseason against the 2nd and 3rds of other teams. It is the same process every year.

Thanks for taking the time to be patronizing, but it's not necessary -- I've got a job and a family.

How is any of this patronizing ? People just never learn and are then surprised when preseason kings get cut or get replaced by unknown guys who have more experience. We will have the same procedure next year again with whoever makes 2-3 plays in the first preseason game.

Because you imply that I am too stupid to be capable of seeing that for myself.

Edelman was once a preseason sensation against second and third teamers. And what about all the undrafted FAs who make the team every year?

There are enough success stories to be excited about some.

The preseason sensation for whom I am most excited is JC Jackson. That pick vs Miami was sweet: man-0n-man coverage, no help over the top, stayed with his man but didn't get grabby, turned at exactly the right time, boxed out his man, and finished the play...textbook.
He might always have some physical limitations, but there's still a lot to work with too; it's up to him. He's already our #7 DB, ahead of Rowe.
