Week 5: We're on to Indy

Dorsett is such an enigma to me, he drops easy passes, and then makes spiderman esque diving highlight reel catches later.
I see Dorsett as a terrific if undersized athelete who is not a natural receiver. Like Patterson, he came a long way on skills such as speed that are only part of what it takes to be a great NFL WR. He is still learning. I do not expect him to become a, say, Brandin Cooks or T.Y. Hilton, but he will likely be better than what we have seen. Note Brady has looked to Dorsett before Hogan recently. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out with Flash and JE11 working their way back.

So can JE practice this week? Or does his suspension end on Thursday? Sorry if this has been addressed already.

His suspension ended either Sunday night or last night.

The league then gives a routine roster exemption to the team to give the team time to decide how to make room for Edelman. I believe these exemptions aren't any longer than a week.

NE is free to activate Edelman at any time, though of course they have to cut/IR someone to make room for him.

He is at practice. They need to create a roster spot Thursday before he can play.

I disagree with the comparison to Patterson. Dorsett is an actual WR who can run the entire route tree. In addition if you believe former colleges from the Colts he has pretty sick hands and was making absurd catches in practice a lot.

He just never caught the long bomb from Brady cleanly. Lets not forget that he was going full speed and had to adjust to the ball a bit. It is a more difficult catch than it looks like on tv. That being said he still needs to make it every time.

quite a DNP list for Tits incl new Vinatieri .
(BB praise getting all the way to his groin..)

**** Thursday games.

Last TNF was surprisingly good/sound one . and Pats get very lucky/could take advantage with theirs staying home both ends with real mini bye after..

.. but i do agree on principal

My conjecture here is that Dorsett in practice sees long bombs attempted to speedy Matt Slater. Watching Slater swat a pass away like it's a swarm of angry hornets has indelibly imprinted on Dorset's subconscious and causes his deep ball reflexes to emulate Slater's behavior.

Stop making fun of Scissorhands.

This is a game the Pats should win in a landslide. The Colts are coming off a home loss, played overtime, have to travel, and have a short week.

With that said, this is the typical game the Pats screw up. I see it being really tight and could go either way.
