Week 5: We're on to Indy

Andy Unlucky has never beat the Patriots.

4 INTs and 5 sacks in 3 games.

Comments:

1.) Last year, against the Bucs on a short week...we just basically grinded out a close win. I am expecting more of the same this week.

2.) Don't sleep on Indy's defense...it is better than I expected.

3.) Nyheim Hines is gonna be a problem for us, IMO.

4.) I say we go into this with a run heavy plan and just grind it out....let our D make plays. I think the lack of T.Y. Hilton will be huge...we can stack the box a bit more.

5.) Cart before the horse and all.....BUT I think Denver is beating K.C. tonight or making the game a lot closer. I think Keenum can get going vs. that KC D...and Royce Freeman can grind out yardage/clock then let Von Miller and Co. terrorize Mahomes, IMO.

We did prevent Josh McDaniel from being their head coach. So that 4+1 INTs. JM probably laughed his butt off when he saw Andrew Luck's noodle arm.

The Chiefs have so many weapons, Tyreek Hill Travis Kelce Sammy Watkins and KAREEM Hunt. Their running is not great. Tonight's game will show if Chiefs are legit or not.

While I usually despise the color rush concept, I thought the Patriots all-navy color rush unis looked pretty sweet. Would prefer the leg strip a little narrower, but overall it is way way better than most other color rush concepts.

Replace the blue pants with white or silver pants and make that be the new primary uniform.

I am so full. I feasted on fish and lobstah yesterday.

What do we call the main course for Thursday? Venison?

Well Indy is in trouble, back against the wall, so I dont like that for this weeks game....same as the Pats yesterday...,.,while the Pats looked much better yesterday the offense still struggled at times....I wouldnt underestimate Indy.

Im going to the Game tonight here in denver.....dont care who wins so should be a fun.

That they do. Their Achilles heel is their D...at least until Eric Berry returns. And great offenses can be taken away by time of possession...which Denver can play...especially at home.

Indy's run defense hasn't been bad so far, based on 4 games: 3.9 yards per carry, 13th in the league. NE's is 21st, 4.5 ypc.

I m not so sure that they are as poundable on the ground as they were in the past. Spread them out and pass. It's what NE does best.

Spread them out and pound the ball. Set it up with passes early.

Case Keenum and Donkeys' running game were not so hot neither. We will see whether the media will crown Patrick Mahomes the best ever by the end of this week or not.

For what it's worth, the Patriots have not lost a Thursday night game since an OT loss to the Jets 2008 (with Matt Cassel at QB). That includes a game started by Jacoby Brisset.

They SHOULD have won that game too. It was a fantastic game, Cassel's best as a pro, still with the best throw/catch I've ever seen, considering difficulty and situation (Cassel to Moss, Cassel throws it through a keyhole to Moss, almost completely horizontal, drags feet with 2 guys on him, amazing, to tie).

Perfect recipe for home cookin'with indy*traveling to NE and JE returning should Fire Up Gillette. Hopefully Pats can being that MO with them and Gronk is a heathy go.
I watched the post game locker room clip, gronk looks fine didn't see him limping.

I’m glad they have no shot @ Earl Thomas. At least for this season. A safety tandem of Thomas & Berry would’ve been a load to deal with.
