Im not worried about the Gronk's ankle. If it's bad, they'll just take the foot. A Gronk can regenerate a new one by game time.

I'm on an Amtrak and have discovered a mother lode of critical information. There are two elderly ladies in front of me having a conversation about the upcoming week's games. Sounds like they are fantasy football participants. Here's the most valuable of the invaluable info, verbatim:
  1. The Steelers need to play Levern Bell this coming week; they've been stubborn for not letting him play up to now
  2. Anderson Luck needs to trim his beard and yell at his defense to play better.
  3. When the Patriots get Julian Edelstein back this week, they will be even better.
PM me if you are a bettor or play FF and would like more of this insight. I'm having a difficult time documenting at fast as they are providing it.

We are 1-1 against Ndamokung(?) Suhs former teams. I think that is the stat that matters most regardless of what we do moving forward.

Yesterday wasn't a get back on track game. Yesterday was 'if we lose we go into full panic mode' game.

To put in in ship terms yesterday they saved the ship from sinking. Now we point the ship in the right direction and get back on target.

The ship was springing leaks but it was never sinking, and this team only needs 1 game to turn it around.

We need KC to win against Jax, at least as far as seeding is concerned. Hopefully, KC wins in a low scoring game with Mahomes looking average but just enough to help us out.

I think that unless Bortles completely craps all over himself, Jax gets the dub. KC's defense outside of their 3rd down defense has been pretty bad. I think this is the first chink in Mahomes' armor.

colts coming off OT game with 3 days rest + completely fresh & rested edelman = edelman goes off for a huge game
.

Indy coming off overtime loss on short week.

And... traveling to hostile environment. Expect double digits point spread

Flowers led the Pats’ defensive linemen with 28 snaps yesterday. Colts defensive lineman Margus Hunt played 80. He’s going to be feeling that on Thursday.

The link agrees with him, so ownership seems like it is up for grabs.

In US English, onto is more or less the standard form: it seems likely that this will eventually become the case in British English too. Remember, though, that you should never write on to as one word when it means ‘onwards and towards’. For example:

Indy's run defense hasn't been bad so far, based on 4 games: 3.9 yards per carry, 13th in the league. NE's is 21st, 4.5 ypc.

I m not so sure that they are as poundable on the ground as they were in the past. Spread them out and pass. It's what NE does best.

Yea they've been hot and cold so far. Mixon ran well. Philly gashed them. WAS did nothing on the ground and HOUs Miller & Blue were contained but Watson gashed them.

I'm pretty confident the Pats will run the ball well.

Playing Thursday night after they just defended 84 plays should make them more susceptible to the run.
I see a big game for Michel.

tidbit from the Sunday column of Reiss:

The Patriots are planning to wear their “Color Rush” uniforms for two games this season -- Thursday, Oct. 4, at home against the Colts, and Sunday, Nov. 4, at home against the Green Bay Packers.

While I usually despise the color rush concept, I thought the Patriots all-navy color rush unis looked pretty sweet. Would prefer the leg strip a little narrower, but overall it is way way better than most other color rush concepts.

They've had 2 good run defense games
Redskins 22 rush 65 yards
Texans 35 rush 119 yards

and 2 bad run defense games
Bengals 20 rush 101 yards
Eagles 35 rush 153 yards

Bad,good, bad, good. If the pattern holds it should be a bad run d game for Indy.

I like what Barner did on the 11 yd run. Maybe get him a handful of touches on Thurs.
