Why is Saints/Giants a CBS game ?

I didn't even notice the Jete game.
Still 4PM with the #1 market, Fox can't be too happy.

With Randall Cobb out I’m surprised that Packers +9.5 is still up there.

Why is Saints/Giants a CBS game ?
In 2014 the NFL had CBS and Fox start "cross-flexing" games. An equal number of games must be moved. In this case two AFC/CBS games went to Fox, and two went from NFC/Fox to CBS.

The reason is to get better games to a wider audience.

In my opinion it's a case of unnecessary micro management. They could have just put the Bengals-Falcons in the late time slot and be done with it. In this case the biggest plus is that CBS gains a game with a star and high scoring offense (Saints) versus a team with a large television market (Giants, with not just NYC but also all the transplanted New Yorkers around the country).

The NFL wants a compelling game in the late time slot of the network with the double header for the vast majority of the country to watch. Result is Saints-Giants in the late slot on CBS - though personally I would still have preferred Cincy-Atlanta.

Colts might have just lost Hilton for Thursday.

Butlers crappy season continues.

He’s underwhelmed but I’ll have to wait and see the play to see if it’s on him of the lack of safety help

What's going on in Chicago? Is that a Fitzmagic's over?:)

Pretty sure the Bengals have scored td on every first half possession

They look sneaky good. Not sure Pittsburgh and Baltimore will get past them this season.

That was a nasty looking injury to Eifert.

I guess the question remains....what the hell is Matthews doing on another team? I thought the whole purpose of being released was due to injury settlement?

With a victory today at Arizona, Pete Carroll (89-55) would tie Mike Holmgren (90-80) for most wins by a head coach in Seahawk (regular-season plus postseason games).

Seattle Seahawks Coaches | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Seattle has had just eight head coaches in their franchise history.
Holmgren, Carroll and Chuck Knox are the only coaches to take the Seahawks to the playoffs.

? What do you mean?

An injury settlement is an agreement as to how much money a team owes a player who is released.

For example: the team says an injury would keep a player out for two games. The player claims the injury would sideline him for six games. The two hammer it out and agree to have the team pay the player somewhere in-between.

Once the injury settlement is agreed upon the player is an unrestricted free agent, able to sign and play with any of the 31 other teams.
