Compared to 2017, Patriots Current Passing Totals Are Eye-Opening

Ian Logue

A look at how the Patriots passing game started last season is enough to raise the red flag when you look a this year's totals, which proves they're obviously playing nowhere close to what they're capable of.

Needless to say with 13 games still left to play and Edelman coming back after this week, along with the addition of Josh Gordon, hopefully, things will improve.

Are we really thinking we can rely on Gordon?

No training camp, questionable decision making skills, and no experience in our type offense.

We might be better off pinning our hopes on winning the lottery.

Starts with Brady and mcD . With all the chatter about the receivers, you still have to get the ball in their hands. This means adapting your offense.

The playbook is a joke if it's so sophisticated that you can't achieve the basic need of adapting to THE TALENTS THAT YOU HAVE. This is also a joke since mcD and Brady have been together for so long... Figure it out.

Injuries happen, yes they do, yes they do.
Other teams overpay for short slot receivers, yes they do, yes they do.
Receivers coming off injuries find mysterious substances in their bodies, yes they do

We can't sign every receiver in the league, then have them come up lame, it's just our snakebit position this year

I think Michel will shake the rust off, but we need a receiver or two who can beat single coverage.

How about Kerley?

Why is this like the lottery?
There is some uncertainty involved buy we need another target for Brady.
Defenses will be forced to account for him when he suits up.
His understanding of the play book will grow a little each week.
As another member stated, the coaches need to adapt to the talent we have on the roster.
