I know it’s the Browns but.. leaking that you plan to release him while simultaneously leaking you’re going to trade him. Then leaking that he injured himself outside of team activities, and he “didn’t look right” or whatever, while showing up late to the facility.. just makes no sense. Who the hell would trade for him if he’s going strait to FA?

My opinion: I feel if his head is on straight and healthy, Gordon will probably win us one extra game this season we might have lost. So instead of a 12-13 win team, we become a 13-14 win team. Not sure if that alone is worth the potential risk.

The guy makes our offense unstoppable. I think he’s one of those guys that can come here and grasp the offense. He’s a proven player and still in his prime.

I don't disagree and think we win 13-14 games with him.

Any GM who wants him on his rookie deal. On the deal he only makes 790k this season, and they would still have him cheap next season.

If he hit the market, it becomes a bidding war.

There is not going to be a bidding war. All offers will be heavily incentive laden.
And more than likely 1 year.

Oh absolutely he'll be tested. By the team and likely the league too.

The announcements give the Browns a chance at getting something back, while also giving a team like the Pats, who likely wouldn't enter a bidding war with say Buffalo, a shot to grab Gordon for a conditional 6th or similar.
