The Josh Gordon Thread: Pats Officially Acquire Gordon for Fifth-Round Pick

Don't tell that to Brian Hoyer, one of Hoyer's pick in Cleveland is on Josh Gordon for running the wrong route.

That’s because he was high.

I understand the merits to both sides of the argument. And while it’d be nice to be proven wrong, I’m firmly in the « don’t bother bringing him in » camp.

Now they are saying they are going to release him next week.

Gordon is making $790,000 this year & next week he would cost less than $700,000 for the remainder of the season.

Offer the browns a conditional late round pick & avoid waivers.

I'm surprised so many folks here want the Pats to take a flyer on this sadly/seriously troubled guy.

Also in that tweet Schefter saying Gordon doesn’t go on waivers straight to Free agency. He’ll probably dictate who trades for him with threats.

Didn’t he praise B.B. and Brady a while back

Jesus! Now schefter is saying their "more likely" to trade him than release him...this entire episode is ******

Partly because they put up with clowns like this for years. There's an actual football guy running things there now, and Baker Mayfield looks to me like he might be at least good.

And unrespected and unstable organization keeps Gordon around.
I have no problem with Cleveland moving on from people they don't believe fit into what they are attempting to build but let's not gloss over the fact in recent years, they've been historically inept.

You mean sign the guy who can't be on time to practice knowing full well he's on his very last chance?

Yes.....

Low risk, High Reward !

I seen the dude torch Talib at Gillette a couple years ago & I can’t help but want him.

A minute 5 seconds into this video.

I love to gamble & Gordon is a major gamble.

It's because he is immensely talented and we've seen what he can do on the field. If he ever got his head screwed on right (however unlikely) he could be a big time contributor.

If it's low risk why not take a chance?

With a talent like Gordon for that low of money, I highly doubt they’re releasing him just to do it. He’s had to have fallen off the wagon. I would expect Dallas to come sniffing around unless the NFL suspends him again.

So pick him for your fantasy team.

So pick him for your fantasy team.

I don’t need your permission to want the Patriots to get him.

I was happy when they got Moss & Dillon too.

After the fact, you probably loved those trades.

Too be honest.... I do have Gordon on my fantasy team. I got him for $16 in a auction draft.

JG is a Niners now, we could have a new JG
