5 years? I think you're giving him way too much credit. If I'm a cop in his hometown (wherever that is), I do my utmost to get on him and follow him to see where he leads. Wouldn't be surprised if he got busted within 6 months.

I'm assuming he'll be arrested, released. On probation. Arrested. On probation. Rinse. Repeat until the crime is severe enough to warrant incarceration.
