OT: Steelers line turning on Le'Veon Bell

Meh, it's the same as with the Patriots. Once everyone is on the field, no one is going to care about the drama. I would LOVE for the Steelers to fall apart due to inner turmoil, but that just doesn't happen all that often in professional sports IMO (or at least not nearly as often as people like to speculate).

I'm sure they will. We all know Tomlin has no integrity.
I hope that they actually take a stand this time. It would make one of our threats to the AFC crown weaker.

I posted something last offseason showing that the Steelers were averaging about 7 points more per game with Bell out, with a fairly large sample size. They are better when they move on from an old philosophy of overusing the running back position, especially when they have Antonio Brown and other talented receivers. It isn't that hard to figure out...you average about 4 yards when running it and about 6-7 (adjusted for sacks) when passing it. The RB position can be vital in moving the chains, forcing the defense to change its philosophy, and red zone production, but it's not in your best interest to take the ball out of the hands of your above average passing game. There was a stat that Bell didn't get any 30+ yard gains last year, or as Tomlin refers to it "he needs to get more splash plays." How many times does Roethlisberger connect on 30+ yard passes? A lot more than zero times per season.

Millionaire players turning on other millionaire players is certainly convenient for billionaire owners.

They should shut up and concentrate on their own careers. I get that it's cool to hate on 'greedy' players, but I will never begrudge anyone doing what they can to earn as big of a paycheck as possible, short of something I'd consider immoral.

I sense this is more of a "tip of the iceberg" situation and they wouldn't be saying this if Bell weren't a tremendous a-hole outside of his contract situation.

It's possible that his off season habits got away from him, and if he had to pee in a cup this week he would miss 4 games.

Evidently bells agents are implying that he won’t come back unless they promise to stop using him so much. The comment was something to the effect of they are going to manage his longevity unlike the past when the Steelers kept making him have a lot of touches.
That’s a very bad sign for bell and his future

I'm amazed at the sassy outspokenness of this Pitt line. They must be wearing Nike cleats.

Nope. And I drafted the triumvirate of Brady, Gronk and Michel.

Lol What a dummy. If I’m grabbing an rb1 like bell or Gurley I’m making sure to grab Conner and John kelly late.

I'm curious to see if Bell's patient wait for the hole to develop style of running will work outside of Pittsburgh. Mind you, I'm also fond of his 0-4 record against the Pats.
