"in case of injury" seems pretty a pretty important factor to me - and I'm thinking about someone going down in-game primarily.
I get that but we had played many games with 3 Wrs active.
Like you said Burkhead could be Wr4 or we could go with 2 TE, a fb or 2 RBs for part of a game.

Yes out of necessity, thankfully he is that versatile. Are you big on Hollister?

I think he offers enough that he could provide some 3rd down receptions.

Which is why I'm not overly worried. One thing I'm sure of is that BB has it covered. TBH, next years WR roster worries me more than this years.

But if moves are really in the works as Reiss is suggesting you don't know how fast they would be finished. Maybe the trade partner might have needed that additional open spot on the 53 before the cut deadline. You dont know until it is all over (which it is now).

At least one trade/FA signing must be in the works otherwise makes little sense exposing Croston .. Tobin is a vet and they could have a pact like with Bolden . Id be surprised if they bring OT other then their own they just cut

I don't see how IZZO is a surprise if they are waiting to place him on the IR so he can come back later in the season.

Ryan Hannable Speculated that Sony Michel could be headed for the IR.

Duke Dawson is someone who people haven't seen in awhile and he could be headed to the IR since he was last seen on lower fields and not in any game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Davis cut tomorrow afternoon or Monday to bring back an OT and send Davis to the PS.
With the money floating around for defensive lineman, I don't think the Patriots
will re-sign Trey Flowers. Davis may have shown enough promise to compete next year.

That to me would be the reason to bring a we in.
We did that with Floyd and Britt late in the season. We could also bring back Matthews, Mitchell Or Britt at any time

Flowers would have to really have a break-out year (12-15 sacks) to sniff anything over 10M/season IMHO and I just don't see that happening..

Davis had issues setting the edge against 3rd/4th stringers of the Giants. It was one game. But that's an issue that seriously needs to be fixed to compete for a roster spot next year.

I don't expect Bolden to be off the roster for long. They pulled the same thing last year. They will look to add him back but are just making room for now.. Maybe a trade for an OT?. I guess they don't like the OT situation and want to improve it.

I'm surprised Grissom made the roster.

I hope that they can get Braxton Miller as a PR/WR4.

I wonder what Uncle Meat thinks?

Did you see the contract Carlos Dunlap just received? Other than a single year with 13 sacks, he's been a 7 - 8 sack / season player. I was shocked that he commanded $15 million / year. He's a good player, but I'm not sure he's better than Flowers.

Braverman...there's a Binky from the past

Miller and Wright seem the best of that list

Something to make @mains happy . unless Pats are bringing Dez for whatever he thinks he's worth . they should start the season well north of 7M..

The Allen restructure should add to cap space. But, is Miguel referring to settlements for release, or is he referring to salaries for players on IR? If the latter, that would subtract about $1M from cap space.

Pretty informative video about Braxton Miller.

My take post roster is:

1.) we have the slowest defense in the Bb era. How are we getting off the field on 3rd down.

2.) the o line is woefully thin. Cannon is a banana, Brown is an over weight walrus and Karras plays too high.

3.) we have no coverage linebackers worth a dime.

4.) Burkhead is a banana. I really hope hill does not get hurt,

5.) we got a lot of special teams demons. But not a lot of talent on offense. Is this bb’s war with Brady spilling over to the field?
