Belichick is noted for his disciplinary approach, he who is most-prepared plays, etc. But he also coached Lawrence Taylor, and recognized that his on-the-field talent and smarts outweighed his off-the-field habits. There is a famous story floating around about LT falling asleep during a defensive meeting. Belichick gets angry, wakes him up, and tries to embarrass him by having him break down their defensive scheme that week in front of the entire defense. LT did it without missing a beat, and reportedly Belichick never woke him up again.

Obviously Brady's and Taylor's piccadillos are very different -- Brady's is Guererro/TB12/Kraft relationship, Taylors were far more illicit -- but could Belichick have accepted that Tom's talent brings with it these headaches?

Not really headaches since they aren't really related to football as they are on personal relationships.

More like Reggie White but both were wrecking crews all by themselves. LT had more talent on D around him.

No because I really think that Belichick has never had to worry about Brady on or off the field. It's just us and the media speculating about it. I can't really think of many other athletes that have the combination of tangible and intangible plus the consistency over 2 decades and stable family life that Brady has.

I can't tell if you're a fan, a media member, a troll or a hockey fan that took too many pucks to the head.

I'm truly sorry. Maybe if you did a poll I could understand what you're getting at...piccadillos (sic).

Brady doesn’t bring any headaches other than the ones the media make up.
Brady is literally the most coachable player in the game.
The comparison is out of whack.

I think you peaked out at Brass Bonanza.

You could make a case that LT is the GOAT of any defensive player, so ..... maybe?

But as far as I know, Brady's never sent escorts to the opposing team's hotel rooms the night before a game.

True story: a plumber complimented me on my very high quality garbage disposal, saying "this is the Tom Brady of garbage disposals".

You might be able to stitch a comparison of LT and TB, but besides being legendary football players they seem more different than the same. IMO.

Aside from learning the lesson to never use the word peccadillos (note correct spelling that I specifically researched) in a public forum, upon reflection I feel like I could have better asked the question another way:

Does Tom Brady exhibit behaviors that would be unacceptable to BB from anyone else, but are given a pass due to Brady's tremendous football skills and game preparation?

With those behaviors specifically being the TB12 training & Kraft relationship stuff (assuming the JG rumors are true) in lieu of LT's cocaine and escorts.

The game was different back then
The players were different
The relationships were different
BB was different

If you are asking if better players i.e. the GOAT for instance can get away with more than other players, the answer is probably yes.

I don’t think they’re anything alike. Brady plays offense and LT played defense.

TB and BB have had a longer more successful (and stressful?) journey. Their relationship has to be more complex than BB & LT's.

BB was DC of the Giants. I think that ultimately it was Parcell's decision whether LT was treated differently.

Only similarity between the two is they are the GOATs at their respective position

The jg rumors are not true.
Many NFL players have personal trainers, nutritionists, etc.
You are trying to create something out of nothing.
