If he's healthy, I think he's a starter alongside Edelman, but I don't know if you can trust his knees. There might not be a bigger hit or miss player on the roster

I think that he’s a camp casualty this year if he can’t get on the field. I had high hopes for him but him missing time is concerning.

Do or die year for Malcolm obviously.....he is a tremendous talent but his difficulty with staying healthy and amount of injuries he is dealing with may do him in here

I take it as if he’s able to get on the field he’s a hit, if not he’s a miss.
Ummmmm yeah. I just dont get the context though. If you are saying that is what he meant than how could you quantify him as either the biggest "hit" or "miss"

He's covering his bets

Let's slow down here.

MM is not a tremendous talent.

It's not like 2007 Randy Moss has a bad wheel

Well yeah he won’t have the best year any receiver has ever had, but he has the potential to be really damn good as long as he stays healthy

Not sure about the context he was using. I would say he’s one of the biggest wildcards we have. The talent is there to get 60-70 grabs, or he may not even make the final 53.

I could easily see him being one of the better #2 receivers in the league, but I could also see him missing the roster entirely. He has such a high ceiling and such a low floor
I just diddnt get the biggest part of it. MM is a nice player and when you have Hogan, Matthews, Britt you dont really need him to be a huge stud. It would be nice if he became Dion Branch 2.0 but....

Besides the obvious guys like TB and Gronk bigger hits or misses would be guys like JE or DH. Huge impact players that are very difficult to replace. Those guys can be huge hits or gigantic misses. MM? We can live without him.

Obviously his knees are an issue but I'm not ready to give up yet. Plenty of players who showed a lot less have lasted longer than 3 years. This will be his third if the injuries kill another year then my concerns will raise. For now I assume he is very much in the mix for one of the top 4 spots and a near lock for the roster.

WR is really interesting right now because other than Jules who is clearly TBs number 1 I could see the rest of the catches going any number of ways. Though Hogan, Mitchell, and Matthews likely round out the top 4 I could see it going in any order and I don't think it would be crazy for one or two to be bumped a little lower if someone like Britt, Dorsett, or anyone else caught fire. A lot of competition and depth for now.

I would agree he could be a great asset, but not as big as some other guys or what would be as big a miss if we lost these other guys.

Did you forget about Chris Hogan? He's the starter opposite of Edelman but Matthews will be pushing Mitchell for reps. I don't have much faith in Mitchell, especially since it was reported he's still running with his knee taped. This is his last chance.

Hogan can be a decent starter, but Mitchell has a much higher ceiling IMO. Mitchell's considerably better against man coverage and can do a little bit of everything
