Not gonna lie, it does feel pretty darn good. Last year this time was rough. Having to accept the reality of the situation (a tank/development year). The season ultimately was better than expected, but still the 2017 offseason was sort of tempered.

Now, especially after Macc was able to get his top QB choice in the draft, things look great! Factor in the great guy/leader McCown and now even the Teddy wildcard, and it's time to start winning and building around the QB for sustained success.

Add in key new free agents and over 100mil in cap space for 2019...

Hackenberg's mechanics were a mess, and his confidence was shot after three up-and-down seasons at Penn State. If there were a chance for reclamation, it was ruined by the Jets, who stunted his development by limiting his practice reps (remember the four-QB depth chart in 2016?), entrusting him to a position coach (Kevin Patullo, 2016) who had no experience with quarterbacks and twice changing offensive coordinators.

Teddy looked pretty good in day 1 OTAs. Moved around well and was accurate. Gonna be an interesting offseason.

Bridgewater should be able to wrestle the starting job from mccown. I have always thought he had a chance to be a really good qb. He just needs to stay healthy.
