Maybe we can pull him back in the fold...

All deserving. I think Seymour will be last because of how he left.

An under-valued but invaluable member of so many great Patriots teams.
Not any more
Well deserved

Well deserved but then that could be said of any of the finalists. Will be interested to see if Brady comes up with a prank or two in honor of Light's induction just for old times sake.

Tuna's veiled bid for induction saying he now "regrets" leaving New England apparently fell on deaf ears.

Hopefully there a clear forecast that day. Wouldn’t want him to get distracted by all the clouds to yell at

Hall of fame = Seymour. Hall of Nice Guy?......

Seymour deserved it more, the guy was a consistent force for the Patriots and could line up anywhere on the defensive line. He was a fantastic player.

I loved Light, but to pretend that he was more than an solid LT that benefited from great coaching and a QB who could get rid of the ball fast is really a practice in self-deception.

He never took over a game or dominated like Seymour or even Vrabel.

All three players belong in the Pats HoF and will all eventually get there, denigrating one as merely solid because he got there ahead of your preferred choice seems a bit off . Light was right there protecting Tommy Brady before he became Tom F Brady, master of all he surveys. He was a bit more than a 'solid LT' as evidenced by being a Pro Bowler. LT by the very nature of the position is not a position that takes over games, the less you hear a LT's name when he is on the field the better the job he is doing. I think him getting the nod over players whose names we did hear a lot says good things about the people that recognize that and appreciated just how good he was at not getting his name heard often on game day rather than illustrating they somehow deceived themselves. Understanding YMMV

Nothing wrong with being a solid LT in the league. I don't think he was more than that. Lots of people complained about Light and his inconsistency over the years, I always defended him.

Light had lots of trouble with certain pass rushers, we could basically give Jason Taylor 1-3 sacks each time the Patriots faced the dolphins.

Light was good, not great and the hall of the very good is in Matt Light's house, probably in his man cave.
